હૈયેથી ઉછળી છેક હોઠ લગી જાય
મથું દાબવા છતા હરફ ના દબાય,
દેહે મારા એ રોજ-રોજ વિસ્તર્યો જાય
વિષ પેઠે એ વેદના કરાવતો જાય,
હરફ હરણીની રીત હાલતો જાય
હવે કેમ કરી હરફ હળવો થાય,
પડી કાને એ કેમ હવે રુદિયે જાય
હળવેથી હરફ એ મારો બની જાય.
