તે દિ' ભારે ફજેતી થઇ,
હોં ભાઈ ! ભારે ફજેતી થઇ !
બસમાં ધક્કા મારતાં ને ચઢતાં,
મારી ચંપલ નીચે પડી ગઇ !
બસમાં ચઢીને રોજની જગ્યા શોધું,
તે આજ ઘરડાં માજીને મળી ગઇ !

થોડી વારે ખાલી સીટ દેખાણી ને બેસતાં,

કંડક્ટર કહે બે'ન જરાક સરખાં બેસો,
તેની સાથે કટકટ ભારે થઇ ગઇ !

ડોકું હલાવીને મેં હા પાડી ત્યાં તો
મારા બસ-સ્ટોપની ઘંટી વાગી ગઇ !
હાશકારો કરતાં આગળથી ઉતરીને
પર્સમાં ટિકિટ મૂકું, પણ પર્સ ક્યાં ?
આજ મારી પર્સ પણ કો'કને વ્હાલી થઇ ગઇ!

ચકરડા પર ચાલતું રોજનું જીવન મારું,
એમાં વધુ એક કસોટી થઇ ગઇ !
