પ્રિય માતૃભાષા,


તારા શબ્દોમાં જે સાર મળે ...

બોલતાંની સાથે જે પ્રતિસાદ મળે...

તારા સ્વરથી જે સંગીત સર્જાય...

હૃદયમાં એક ઉમંગ અનુભવાય....


વિસરે ભલે બીજું બધુંય

છતાં માતૃભાષા ના વિસરાય...

તારી ભાષાનો જો મર્મ સમજાય ...


જે અભિવ્યક્તિ તુજ થકી કરું 

જે વાંચન તુજમાં કરું...

મારી માતૃભાષા તુજને હું વંદન કરું.
