It’s Monday morning, a 6-year-old kid got up with Monday blues. Mondays are like that not only a 6-year-old, even a 60-year-old feels terrible. The first thought in his mind after waking up is how to avoid school. He knows his parents won’t listen to him if he says he doesn’t want to go to school. He looked around for his parents as he was alone in the room then he saw his mother coming in to the room. He started thinking about the excuses to avoid going to school. “maa” “you got up beta come on go and brush your teeth” she said and went out of the room. He got out of the room and went in to the hall. There he saw his father sitting on a couch, he went and sat beside him.

“Papa” “yes beta” “what are you doing?” “I am checking my mails” he answered checking his mobile. He sat silently for few minutes. “Papa my stomach…..it’s hurting” “oh wh…..” “Beta did you brush your teeth” his mother interrupted while his father was asking. “maa my stomach is hurting” he said with a sad face. “He ate too many chocolates yesterday that’s why its paining” his mother complained. “How many chocolates did you eat?” his father questioned. “Only 1” his voice is low. “No beta you ate many chocolates and no chocolates from tomorrow” his mother declared. “Okay now get up its getting late to school” his face became pale when he heard the word school. He sadly got up and went to brush his teeth. After 10 mins he went to the kitchen where his mother was working. “Beta drink milk” she handed him a glass of milk. “maa stomach pain” “you drink milk I will give you the tablet okay beta”. He is so scared of medicines and the word itself made him shiver so he didn’t try to argue any more. He took the milk and sat silently.

He took bath and wore his uniform. “Beta where’s your tie” she asked his son who’s standing without putting on his tie, belt and shoes. “I don’t know maa.” His mom searched his things and made him ready. He came up with another plan. “Papa” “did you get ready?” “Yes papa” “come on take your bag” his dad started walking. “Papa I don’t have a pencil” the kid said brightly. “I will buy it on the way beta lets go, you will miss your bus”. The bus stop is at the corner of the street. It takes only 5 mins to walk. He started walking very slowly and sadly by holding his father’s hand. “Stop looking here and there and walk fast” “papa pencil” he asked again. Both went to the store nearby. The store keeper showed him the different varieties of stationary stuff. The kid is attracted by the colorful pencils, erasers and things. He wasted most of the time looking and selecting the things. “How many pencils you need?” his father questioned him. “2 pencils” his father bought him the pencils. They were still in the store the school bus came and went. They could see the bus going from the stop, the father tried to stop it but it’s too late. He is so happy, his face lit up like a thousand-volt bulb.

“You people came back” his mother questioned looking at both of them. The kid immediately removed the bag from his shoulders. “Yeah we missed the bus.” “How did you……..” “We stopped at the store” his father said without letting her to finish the sentence and continued “get me my bike keys I will drop him” the kid who is enjoying the whole situation went into a deep shock. Again, his heart is filled with deep sadness. He did everything he could do but nothing worked out. His eyes are filled with tears, with a heavy heart he picked his bag. He missed his only chance. His mother handed the bike keys to his father. “Bye beta” he didn’t answer his mom. While he’s getting on the bike with a teary eye he slipped. His knee got hit with a kick rod of the bike. Blood spilled, and he started crying. His mother came out listening to his cry, his father put the bike a side and lifted him. “What happened?” his mom shouted. “He slipped” his father said while taking him inside. His mother washed his wound, applied ointment and bandaged it. “maa school” he asked his mother while she is changing his dress. “No school beta you take rest” there is a pain in her voice. All the pain vanished when he heard his mom’s words. The tears from the face dried and a smile came on his lips.

After half hour “maa can I go out and play” he asked his mother. “You are wounded beta take some rest you can play in the evening.” “maa only 10 mins” the kid started pleading her. “Beta I will give you a chocolate if you stay at home I don’t want anything bad happening to you.” “maa what is bad?” he questioned her innocently. “You got hurt and you cried so that is bad thing” his father explained him. “No papa this is good thing” “how beta isn’t you hurt?” father asked him. “I didn’t want to go to school today and I didn’t go because of this hurt so this wound is good papa” he explained his theory clearly with a big happy smile. Both mom and dad looked at each other. They were both surprised and shocked by their son’s words.

Every moment in life is neither bad nor good, it depends only how you see it.
