The Stranger(part-6).......

Meera wake up early as she couldn't sleep well last night. She finished all her morning work and went to the kitchen. She made coffee for herself and for others. She took the coffee and woke up her mother Sara, then she went to Rima and did the same thing. Sara was surprised to see Meera waking up so early. She had her coffee and asked Meera, "what's the matter dear, you woke up so early today?" Meera just gave a smile and said, "Mom, yesterday I couldn't sleep well. I was very happy to get great news. You know my Dad is now working as an undercover officer and it was confirmed by his department. His department is very proud of him." Then Rima jumped out of her bed and hugged Merra  saying, "I knew that our Dad is busy with his duty." Then Sara stared at her both kids and said, " My heart never accepted the rumors about your father. Now both of you remember this should be within us only to support your father silently to be successful. Now let me finish my work or else I will be late for school. "Then Sara left for a washroom. Rima curiously looked at Meera and then Meera said, "Yes dear, our Mom is right." Now Rima understood and left to freshen up.

Meera got a call from Sangeeta and she was crying. Meera asked her the reasons and understood that since yesterday Sangeeta's cousin Ashis is absconding. All her family members are worried. Meera consoled her and advised them to cool down. Even Meera told Sangeeta to wait for a few days and hung the phone. Then Meera sends a message to Ashok regarding Ashis. After ten minutes the other phone given by Ashok to Meera rang. Meera picked it and saw that the call is from Ashok. She took the call and gave all details regarding Ashis and his help. Then Ashok said, " Listen Meera, the person about whom you are talking is also under the scanner of CBI. I will now try to find out very soon where he is. We have some doubts about Ashis having any secret deals with R K. Any way we will track him and will inform you. By the way, when are you joining your duty. If I am not wrong then you are supposed to resume after three days. " Meera was a bit shocked to know about Ashis and replied, "Yes, I will join. But you please inform me about Ashis." Then their call was disconnected. Sara got ready and informed Meera that she is leaving for school. Meera listened to her mother and went after her to lock the door. Then she and Rima had their breakfast together. Rima finished and get back to her study. Meera went to her room and started thinking of Ashis. As Ashok told her that Ashis has links with the mafia, drug dealer, and politician R K, that had made her think about Sangeeta. She started getting some doubts about Sangeeta but was not getting convinced. She decided not to discuss anything about the latest developments with Ashok and Arun till she meets Arun. Then Meera heard her doorbell rang. She opened the door and saw a young man is standing there, who introduced himself as a cousin of Arun, Mr. Ramesh. Then Meera let him come inside and the door was kept open. She could see The Stranger mad man was looking from outside. Then Ramesh gave his invitation card and the reception is tomorrow evening. Meera understood that Ramesh is working in the E D office as an officer. Then Ramesh left the place, Meera closed the door. After Ramesh left the place Meera saw a message from Arun confirming about Ramesh. Then Meera got relief. Meera sat before her computer and send mail to her boss regarding confirmation of her resuming duty. She felt a little tired and tried to have a nap.

Meera woke up in the evening when her mother Sara came and woke her up. Then she started feeling very hungry. Rima too had skipped her lunch. All of them with Sara had their food. Meera told Sara about attending the reception of Ramesh on the next day evening and about her joining the duty. Sara listened to her and agreed.

The next day evening as soon as Sara came home, Meera got ready to go for the reception of Ramesh. She told Sara that she will take an Auto rickshaw and go. At about 7 pm Meera went outside her house and called the auto rikshaw and asked in a louder voice taking the name of the hotel. She had done it to let The Stranger mad man hear as he was looking at her. While Meera was getting into the rikshaw she heard the mad nan shouting, "you go, don't fear, I am here. "

Meera reached the hotel and found Arun standing there. They both greeted each other and went inside. Meera met Ramesh and his bride, wished them. Then she and Arun engaged in a talk and reached a corner away from the crowd. Then Meera told Arun about her father, about her accident, about her rescue, about her meeting with Ashok, about Sangeeta and Ashis. Even she informed Arun about the missing report of Ashis. She told about R K and his connection with the vehicle, which made the accident with her. Arun listened to Meera carefully and said, "Meera, you just give me two days' time and I will let you know some more details. I have been posted here as Director of NCB. But as you are telling me, there is a possibility of your phone being tapped. You to be very careful now. Just give me the number of the phone given to you by Mr. Ashok, so that we can talk." Meera gave the number to Arun. Then both Arun and Meera finished the dinner. Arun took his car to drop Meera. Arun hide his face with a scarf and drove it to Meera's place. While after dropping Meera in front of her house, while Arun was about to leave, Meera could see from far that The Stranger mad man gave a salute to Arun, and Arun smiled back at him.

Meera came inside the house and get into her room to change her dress. She was thinking what should be the relation between Arun and The Stranger mad man?
