The Stranger (part-19)....

After Sangeeta left their home, Meera locked the door and went to her mother Sara. She tried to cool down her mother. She said to Sara, "Mom, it was just a simple visit she made to see me. After she heard from you that I was hurt, she just wanted to see me as a friend. After a long time, we met each other. Why are you so angry with her? She is just a friend of mine. Now please give me a coffee. We are waiting to have it with you Mom." Meera hugged her mother and said with her childish smile. Sara looked at her gave a smile and said, "I am not at all angry with her. I don't like her. I had seen her many times with a young man who had dropped you home by his car from your office and you told me he is your boss. You know recently both of them saw me and were giving suspicious looks. Her activities I don't like. I just want both Angeles to be safe and happy. Away from any problem or controversy. Ok, now you go to your room and let me get you the coffee." Meera listened to her mother Sara and left for her room. She sat on the sofa and started thinking of what her mother told about Sangeeta. She then started feeling that her best friend cheated on her. She could feel the pains from inside while thinking that Sangeeta too a part of the conspiracy against her. She got confirmed that Ashok was right. She closed her eyes and tried to console herself. Then Sara came with coffee and gave her. She saw Meera a bit worried and said, " Oh, my dear. Never mind what I said. I just said to protect you. I want you to keep your distance from such types of people. Forget it and enjoy your coffee. " Meera took the coffee from her mother and gave a light smile. She thought about her mother and her innocence. Still, she is thinking that her words hurt her. On the other hand, her friend Sangeeta trying to be a stranger to what had happened to her.

Sara left Meera's room and went to Rima. Meera took her coffee and was thinking about her work to finish. After finishing her coffee she went to her working table and took out her papers. She saw the chart made by her to answer the questions Arun had about the complete incident of that accident day's evening before it happened. She checked all and added some more descriptions of small points. She imagined and tried to make the rough sketch of the shopkeeper and the man he send to get him the change. She even tried to make a sketch of those two persons, who were standing behind her vehicle and their look was following her. When she finished with this, she gave a message to Arun for getting all these details from her. Then she scanned all these including the sketches and stored them on her computer. Then she opened the software in progress for Ashok's department and started doing some corrections, some additions as was asked by CBI. She was completely involved in that work and forgot to see the time. Suddenly she heard her mother calling for taking dinner. Then she looked at the time, it was 9.30 pm. She closed her work and shut down her computer. Then she checked her mobile and saw the reply of Arun asking for the time for Ravi to come to her. Meera gave the time of 11.30 am of next day and asked to give her a call before coming. Then she went to the dining table and joined her mother and Rima. All of them had little fun and enjoyed their food. Sara asked Meera, " How is your health dear now. These scratches had made some bad spots on your face. I think you should see a skin specialist and take the advice to remove this. " Meera listened to her mother and replied, "It's ok Mom. It will not be there permanently. I am now using the lotion for this. Don't be worried."

As soon as all of them finished their dinner, Meera went to her room. Rima helped her mother Sara in cleaning the table. It was then 10.30 pm. Meera checked her mobile and saw Arun's message confirming the time of Ravi's visit and giving her a call before that. Then she checked the other mobile and there was a message from Ashok saying"please call me tomorrow by 10.30 am". Meera sensed something strange in this message. Then she felt tired of thinking about the strangers and strange activities around her. She just wanted to have a peaceful sleep and closed her eyes and tried for that desperately.
