The Stranger (Part-15)...

Meera reached her house and wished bye to her stranger protecters. She entered her house and locked the door. Her mother Sara, who opened the door for her, looked at her and could see some different expression on her daughter Meera's face. Silently she followed Meera. As Meera reached near her room, she looked back and said, " Mom, I am feeling hungry. If I can get something to eat, it will be a bit better. I will be back on dining table soon after getting freshenup quickly. " Sara saw her daughter Meera in this mood and she was feeling happy for this. She happily replied, " Yes my dear, I will make it for you. You just give me ten minutes time. " Then Sara rushed to the kitchen to prepare some snacks for Meera and Meera got into her room and locked it from inside. The first thing Meera did was, made her desktop on and start downloading the software from her pendrive. Then she rushed to the washroom and get freshed. She changed her dress and checked the download, it was in process. Then she went to the dining table. At that time Sara brought the snacks and called Rima to join. Rima reached there and saw her sister is looking very fresh and energetic. She shared the snacks with Meera. Then Sara joined them with coffee. While having the snacks Meera said, " Mom, I had taken leave from office and will work from home. I want to have some more rest. During this time some people will come to me and you need not be worried about that. I am very happy about this. Yes never discussed my work from home with anybody. Both of you keep it within yourselves. Yes, another important thing is that, please for God's sake never respond to any unknown person at anywhere at anytime. " Meera was a bit serious while saying her last two lines. This was observed and understood by both Sara and Rima. All three of them finished their snacks and had their coffee, then Meera played some jokes with her little sister Rima to make the atmosphere little lighter. As soon as the coffee was finished Sara cleaned the table and both Meera and Rima went to their respective rooms. Meera checked the download and it was around 90% been completed. Then she saw the time in the watch, it was around 7.30 pm. She just sat on the sofa in her room and tried to be relaxed.

After a few minutes, Meera received a call from Ashok and received it. Ashok said, " I think everything went perfectly today in your office. As I told you to come today, I am sorry I can't make it. But tomorrow I will come around 11 am. I am now busy with a new link of Ajit and would like to get the absolute truth on that before I meet you tomorrow. Yes, please keep a distance from your best friend Sangeeta. I will tell you the details tomorrow. Also, I got the information that Arun Kumar of NCB was in touch with you and he is a very efficient and strict officer. You can cooperate with him but never disclose about this software or any of our discussions. All the agencies are having their different ways of investigations, so until and unless it is officially required, we never mix up the things. Have a nice time and see you tomorrow. Bye. " Then the phone line got disconnected. Meera knew that Arun too wants to help her. She knew that Arun is a very honest and strict person. Then Meera checked her phone and went through various messages. She saw a message from Arun Kumar came just 15 minutes before. Meera opened it and went through the message. There she saw Arun wanted her reply on confirming an urgent meeting today at about 8.30 pm in her house. Meera confirmed him and informed him to act before her mother as her colleague. Then she waited for some time to get his reply. After ten minutes Arun replied back confirming his visit. Then Meera was started thinking about the probable reasons for Arun's visit and about her best friend Sangeeta.Meera checked the time on her watch, it was around 8.20 pm. She checked her desktop, the download was completed. She took out the pen drive and kept it in her secret place only known to her. Then made the desktop off. She came out of her room and made her way towards the sitting room, where she will have a meeting with Arun. She informed her mother and Rima about this. At exactly 8.30 pm the doorbell rang. Meera went to the door and saw from inside that Arun was standing there with one more person. Then Meera opened the door to let them be inside. She closed the door and asked them to have their seat. Arun introduced the person with him as Ravi, who is his assistant. That made Meera more comfortable. At that time Sara came and Meera introduced Arun and Ravi as her colleagues to her mother. Sara kept the glasses and water on the table and asked if they would like to have coffee or tea. Both Arun and Ravi said no to that with their thanks. Then Sara left the room. Meera locked the room from inside and returned to her seat. Then Arun started, " As I told you that there are many cases of drugs smuggling increasing in the state, the department had deputed me here to handle it and clean it.Did you know that your vehicle, which met with an accident and injured you were been loaded with some drugs? The accident was not been made intentionally. They were following your vehicle and wanted to get their illegal drugs from your vehicle after your arrival at Sangeeta's place. As you would have parked and gone inside her house, then they could easily taken out from your vehicle. This they had done to hide from police or NCB. No one could have any suspect on you. But unfortunately their vehicle was been followed by the under cover officers, who had rescued you. At that point in time, when they came to know that they are been followed, they wanted to escape and the accident took place. The drugs were seized.Our department was following you since then and you were too one of the suspects. But we got it cleared that you were in no way having any link with these drugs and they had done it to drag you and take advantage of your being unknown about anything. What now I am going to say you will definitely shake you. When you left your office that evening and straight travelled towards Sangeeta's place, they were watching your activities. As you stopped near the market and parked your vehicle to purchase a gift, at that time they kept these drugs in your vehicle. We had checked the CCTV footage and saw this happened there. But all those three persons had hidden their faces with masks. As they finished their job, they gave the signal by raising their thumb. We couldn't exactly make out who the person they were signaled? Can you just recall the exact happenings in between parking your vehicle to coming back to the vehicle after your shopping? I know it's very difficult, but just try to remember and if possible write it down one after one. You take your time. Ravi will come come to you day after tomorrow. Before that please just message me that you are ready with that, then I will inform his time of visit. Even Ravi can call you, you can save his number. Meera locked the door from inside and the anxiety with fear about the strangers are asking her many questions.
