Love Or Career

Its morning 11, both sat on the couch discussing. “Listen to me baby,” he said holding her hand. “You are saying the same thing from the past few days honey” she replied. “Still you do not understand” he complained. “Don’t you want me to have a career?” she questioned him. “No am not saying that baby. Is it really necessary for you to leave the city?” he asked her. “I want to work in that company and the pay is so good” she sounded confident. “I know you want to work in that company but you are leaving everyone here” “so” she looked at him. “What so” “so I shouldn’t work” she turned her face. “Come on baby stop thinking negative, you will get a great job here, you even got selected th…..” “Compare the pay honey, it’s less here” she interrupted him. “Money is not everything” this time he was serious. “Oh really, you are saying that,” she said with sarcasm. “What do you mean?” the seriousness on his face can be clearly seen.

“You work 24/7, you won’t eat, you won’t sleep, you won’t have time to spend with me and you are complaining about money” she completely turned towards him and said in a loud voice. “See you are already complaining that I am not spending time if you go out of the city then….” “You won’t call me at all” she said with a harsh tone. “Don’t assume things” “then what should I do” she questioned him back. “Ya I accept, I work a lot, me working so hard, you working so much, what for baby, why are we doing this, when we are not together,” he said in a normal voice but that hit her hard. “You will be all alone their baby, do you know anyone” she didn’t say anything but nodded her head saying no.

 “If you are in the city, as usual, we can meet daily, even if you are busy or am busy, we can meet for like 10 minutes. You have your family here, friends here, I am here, and you want to lose all this for some extra money” he tried to convince her. “It’s not only money, I like the company honey, and I want to work there,” she said slowly. “I know baby” “you are asking me to stay, will you come me if your job…..” “Definitely baby if I had any chance and you know that better” he looked straight into her eyes. “I …..” she got up from the couch. “Baby” “I need to accept the offer by afternoon and my flight is tomorrow” she turned away. “So you have decided,” he asked holding her hand. “Do you hate me?” “I will never ever do that” he kissed her on the forehead. “Bye”

The next day afternoon she knocked on the door. He opened the door “10 minutes I will change and we will go to the airport’’ he went inside and she followed him. “Did you pack everything baby? Be careful you….” He was talking but she didn’t say anything. “Let’s go” “where?” she sat leisurely on the bed. “Airport” he was confused. “Why? Am not going anywhere” “baby really you….” “No” he came near and lifted her up from the bed. “I love you” he kissed her.
