Stand By Me - Part 19

Mr. Khurana arrived. After the initial exchange of pleasantries, I was introduced. Mr. Khurana was extremely delighted to see me, although I had no memory of him. My mind was wandering, I was constantly thinking about Rithvik.

Mr. Khurana took out a packet from the small bag paper bag that he was carrying and gave it to me. He mentioned that he had got it for me specially from London. He also got gifts for my parents.

My mother had prepared the most lavish spread that could possibly be, as if it were someone's wedding feast.

The dinner table was filled not just with amazing food but continuous laughter from reminiscing about old days. I had never seen my father so happy.

Once the dinner was over, we settled down in the living room. My father insisted Mr. Khurana to stay for a couple of days but he politely refused stating he had work to catch up.

As I thought this late evening show of hospitality was coming to an end, Mr. Khurana said something that felt like a bomb dropping on my head.
