I hadn't informed my parents yet. Being an airforce kid, I believed that I definitely had more freedom to make choices as compared to other women of my age, but knew that my parents definitely would want me to discuss those choices with them. Plus I had an elder brother who had been overprotective since childhood.

But somehow I couldn't get myself to tell them that I had moved in with a guy whom I had just met three months back, also given his status of being a divorcee and a father, I knew my parents wouldn't be so enthusiastic.

I had tried mustering courage many a times but developed cold feet every single time.

On the contrary, Karan had been very vocal about our relationship.He had introduced me to his mother.He had even made me meet all his friends and colleagues.

However, he never asked me to follow suit. He knew I was in a dilemma. He never broached the topic even once.

Things were getting very serious between us, before I could realise it was nine months of living together, creating our own little world.

My best friend Rumi was the only one from my folks who knew about us. She was the first person I had met when I had shifted to Mumbai three years ago for work. We had been roomies until I decided to move in with Karan.
