Stand By Me Part 35

I got into the lift, as it reached the second floor, my heart began to sink.

What was I getting into?

I was at the food court. It was too crowded. There were people everywhere. My phone rang again.

“Just turn to your left, the table in front of the Domino’s outlet”, the voice said.

I turned to my left, I could see the table in front of the Domino’s outlet.

I could see a guy seated but could not see his face as his back was towards me.

He was less than 50 meters away from me but the distance seemed like an eternity.

“God, save me”, a silent prayer escaped my lips.

I went closer to the table, I was dressed in denim and a casual top with a light dab of lip gloss and liner.

“Excuse me!!”, I said.

“Hey, Tara”, the person turned around and got up.

He was a tall guy, almost six feet tall, looked quite muscular and strong.

He had a chiseled face and wore black trousers with a slim fit white shirt tucked in.

His eyes were dark brown but bloodshot, as I looked into them, I could feel him gazing deep into my mind as if there was some secret he wanted to steal.

As he smiled and held out his hand for a handshake, I could not help but notice how handsome he was.

“What was I thinking?”, I thought to myself.

I quickly broke my chain of thoughts and forced myself back to reality.

“Jamil Qazi”, he said.

I shook hands reluctantly, his hands were gentle but firm.
