The Poem Kannan En Sevagan (Servant)

This Poem depicts Bharathiar's relationship with a boy who comes to him as a young servant. The boy agrees to write all his works as he dictates.

.So he asks the boy to sit with his paper and pen.

The boy refused to sit down and was very restless. Upon that the Poet gets irritated and angry and starts abusing him He says, ”You are a crack , stubborn, good for nothing fellow that is why people call you a dumb ”’You better go away from my sight I don’t want you to do this work .Shall look for some body else

The boy smiled and agreed to write The Poet lost all his interest and said I have really failed in your case

Sorry ,’’You can go I will look for someone else.”

The boy, who is none other than Lord Krishna said ,”You won as soon as you said you failed which means you surrendered to me.’

“Remember always When you admit your failure and surrender towards me you are successful . Immediately he started writing and finished his work as he was dictating .Thus Bharathiar finished his work within no time

We also should surrender to God and seek His Blessings. We are no one to dictate or order Him.

This is a great Lesson for all of us in future
