5 Friends Solve The Mystery In India!

A surprise……

It was morning. Rebecca woke up happily. She scampered out of the bed and went to see her friends. Rebecca, Sanika, Olivia, Manasi, and Sakura were best friends. They lived in a hostel in America. When Rebecca returned to her room, she was surprised. The books were scattered here and there. She went there and saw a sticker of the Taj Mahal on her calendar. Besides, it was written: Meet me in Manasi's room immediately. Rebecca ran across the hallway and bumped into Sakura. ''Hey, Becca, keep your eyes open!'' Sakura giggled. ''Sorry, Saku…. I was in a hurry….. I have to go to Manasi's room. ''Same here! I also got a note.'' Sakura said. ''Same here!'' Olivia came and said. ''Let's go!'' ''I saw a sticker of Taj Mahal on my calendar…'' Rebecca said. ''I only got a note'' Olivia replied. They reached Manasi's room. Sakura knocked on the half-open door. ''Come, come'' Manasi said. ''You called us here, Minnie?'' Olivia asked. ''Yes, we both called you,'' Manasi said, pointing towards Sanika. ''We have planned a trip to India!'' she exclaimed. Everyone was happy. ''Let's pack our bags!'' Sakura said and they headed towards their rooms.

Ready to depart!

The next day, everyone gathered in the sleepyhead's room. That is in Olivia's room. ''Wake up, Olly!'' Rebecca urged. Olivia got ready. ''Now we are ready to depart!'' Sanika exclaimed. They went to the airport and boarded a flight to India, New Delhi. After a loooooooong time, they reached India. ''The airport is beautiful!'' Sakura exclaimed. They took a taxi to their hotel. They were staying in a hotel called ''Delhi star''.

They shared a room. They opened the door. Olivia jumped on the bed and fell asleep. ''Sleepyhead Olly!'' Rebecca said rolling her eyes.

The history of Taj Mahal

''Where are we gonna go tomorrow? Rebecca asked. ''Tomorrow we are going to the Taj Mahal,'' Sanika replied. ''It's a famous monument built with pure white marble.'' ''Wow!'' Sakura sighed dreamily. ''Is there a history behind it?'' Rebecca asked curiously. ''The Taj Mahal was built by Shah Jahan in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaj Mahal,'' Manasi explained. ''Now let's get a good sleep!''

To the Taj Mahal

The next day, everyone was wide awake and excited! Even Olivia the sleepyhead woke up! They took a bus to Agra. They reached the Taj Mahal. They took photos, went inside and enjoyed a lot. Suddenly, they heard an earsplitting scream. ''CHOR! CHOR!'' A woman was screaming at the top of her lungs. ''Chor means thief,'' Manasi explained. The girls ran in the direction of the scream. A woman in a hoodie, her face covered, was stealing a purse. Sakura went there and stopped the woman. ''SAKU, IT'S DANGEROUS!!!'' Rebecca screamed. Saku held that woman's hand and pulled off the purse. ''Who are you?'' she asked. The thief ran away. Sakura came back and handed the purse to the woman who was screaming. ''Thank you'' she said. ''You were brilliant!'' Olivia commented. ''I am hungry, let's eat something,'' Sakura said rubbing her stomach. ''Ya, let's go to a hotel!'' Manasi agreed.

Pav Bhaji

They went to a hotel called ''Mirchi ka tadka'' which means spicy chilies.

''I have ordered pav bhaji,'' Sanika said. ''What's that?'' Olivia asked who loved trying different foods. Manasi opened her mouth to speak, but just then a mouth-watering aroma came. Their Pav bhaji was being served!

''Delicious!'' Olivia exclaimed taking a bite. Everyone ate their Pav Bhaji. ''Desert time!'' Sanika exclaimed. The waiter came and served them something. It was brown colored round ball dipped in rose water.

''Pop one in your mouth and see the magic!'' Manasi said winking. ''Delicious!'' Sakura exclaimed. ''Best dessert ever!'' Rebecca said grinning from ear to ear. After eating they went for a walk.

The woman….. Again?

''See there!'' Rebecca said pointing at a woman. ''She is the thief!'' Sakura exclaimed. ''This is like a mystery and I'm loving it!'' She pulled out her disguise wig. She put it on and before anyone could stop her, she went to the woman. ''Hi!'' She said acting casual. ''Hello!'' The woman replied. Her voice was sweet. Sakura didn't know what to say. She thought for a minute and said, ''I am from Japan. I don't know the routes here. My cell phone also isn't working. Could you help me please?'' ''Yes, of course. Here's my card. She said pulling one beautifully decorated card. ''You can contact me if you get lost.'' ''Thanks!'' she said and scurried away to her friends. ''The woman seemed kind…'' Olivia pointed out. ''Here's the card'' Sakura said showing it to the others.

''I didn't expect her to be so stylish…..'' Rebecca commented. ''Ya, really.'' Olivia agreed. ''Come on, we'll eat snacks now….. tomorrow, we'll solve this mystery'' Sanika said. The others agreed. They went to a snack shop. They ate panipuri, samosa, bhel and shev puri. They went to a hotel. ''We need to plan now…. How can we go to that woman's house?'' Rebecca asked. ''Hmm….. maybe….. we can disguise,'' Olivia suggested.

''Into some sellers!?'' Sakura suggested.

''Lemonade sellers!'' Manasi said. ''I have a super-duper idea! We will put a bit of sleeping pilll in the lemonade!''   ''Wow!'' Rebecca exclaimed. Sanika immediately bought lemonade and mixed sleeping pill in it. ''Achoooo! Achooo!'' Olivia sneezed. ''I'm not well I guess.'' ''I'll stay with her,'' Manasi said. ''You go.''

TRAPPED!

Sakura, Sanika, and Rebecca went to the address on the card. The thief was very close to them! Sanika gathered courage and knocked on the door. ''Lemonade!'' She said. ( the girls had put on fake wigs and ragged clothes.) ''I would like one glass.'' The woman said. She took a glass and went inside. The girls pretended to go away but they were peeping through the window. After a million years(Maybe 1 or 2 hours) the woman was asleep. The girls tried to open the door, but it was locked. Sakura took her special pink bobby pin and unlocked the door. They crept inside. Sakura took Rebecca's lipstick and rubbed it on her thumb. She put a piece of transparent tape on her thumb. She got the woman's fingerprint! Sanika picked the woman's mobile. Then, they crept towards the door. ''Seize them!'' They heard a very shrill voice. The woman was awake! ''I knew you would come here, Japanese.'' She said pointing towards Sakura. Then, 3 girls came and stopped Rebecca, Sakura, and Sanika from going out. Rebecca looked behind her to see who was seizing her. ''Bella!'' She exclaimed. Bellatrix, Zoe, and Susan were the girls' classmates, but they had a rivalry between them. ''Yes, it's me.'' Bellatrix sneered. Zoe was holding Sakura and Susan was holding Sanika. They tied them. ''What about my money?'' Bellatrix asked the woman. The woman pushed her and went away. She locked the door from outside. To the girls' surprise, Bellatrix untied them. ''I know we have a rivalry in us….. But this woman's gonna fool us. So, let's work on a team. I'm sorry.'' ''It's ok, Bella,'' Rebecca said.

Sanika messaged Olivia.

Olivia and Manasi to the rescue!

Back there in Delhi star, Olivia and Manasi were getting worried. Suddenly, Olivia's cell phone beeped. She had got

 WE ARE TRAPPED!!!!!!!!! Take the address card… it's in Saku's bag.

 Sanika's message!

''Hurry up!'' Manasi urged. They took the card and hurried downstairs. Soon, they reached the house. They couldn't peep through the window as curtains were clothes. They tried to open the door but it wasn't. ''Ouch!'' Olivia exclaimed. ''What happened, Olly?'' Manasi asked. ''Something is there under my leg.'' She replied. ''It's Saku's bobby pin!'' she exclaimed showing it to Manasi.

 

 ''Yes! It's hers!'' Manasi exclaimed. They unlocked the door and went inside. Olivia locked the door behind her. They all hugged each other. ''What are Bella, Zoe, and Sue doing here?'' Manasi asked. ''Well…. It's a long story….'' Zoe said timidly. ''Now we should explore this house,'' Sakura said. They all agreed and began searching. ''See! She has so many wigs!'' Rebecca exclaimed opening the cupboard. While searching, Olivia accidentally bumped into Sakura. They both fell on the wall…. And it opened! ''Secret wall!'' Sakura exclaimed. Everyone huddled together. There were stairs there. They climbed down. ''It's underground……'' Susan said. ''Yaa, certainly,'' Manasi replied. After a flight of stairs, they reached down. There was a door there. It was unlocked. They pushed the door and to their amazement, the room was filled with gold. They went in. ''This is the special diamond which was stolen from one of the Indian museums!'' Sanika exclaimed. ''She's a thief!'' Underneath the gold, they found a diary. On the first page it was written:

Dear diary,

No one understands me. I…… I study a lot then also today I am with no profession. This world is so bad. Everyone fools me. So why shouldn't I? Hahaha! I am a thief now!

The second page:

Dear diary,

I am the most wanted thief in India. I stole a lot of things. Well, today I locked 3 sneaky girls. Maybe I can demand money from their parents. After that, I'll trap Bellatrix, Susan, and Zoe too! Hahha!

''Ok, ok,'' Sakura said to herself. ''Sanika, call the police….. Right now!'' ''Yep!'' She agreed. ''What are you doing here?'' They heard a voice. It was a woman! The friends held their hands tightly. Sweat poured from their foreheads. What if she did something to them? She came near Sakura and kept her hands on her neck. ''No!'' Rebecca screamed. She went to defend Sakura but the woman pushed her. ''STOP IT!'' They heard an unfamiliar voice behind them. It was the police! What a relief! The police came and arrested the woman. Rebecca hugged Sakura. The police thanked the girls and they all escaped. The news spread all across India.

Hostel sweet hostel!

The girls returned to America in their hostel. What a relief! ''Hostel sweet hostel!'' They exclaimed and jumped onto their cozy beds. ''Phew! What a trip!'' Rebecca said. ''Yaa….'' Manasi agreed. ''And the five friends solved the mystery again!'' Sakura exclaimed. It was indeed an extraordinary adventure!
