It is a very old story of an Indian village where a girl named Malati was living with her parents. She had only a brother named Harish who was very fond of Malati, his beloved sister. Their parents were farmers by profession who were well-reputed in their village, Nirakarpur. Malti and Harish were the students of class X and Second year Arts students respectively.

The cordial bond between the brother and sister was a masterpiece and their parents were also a couple of strict morals wherefore the all villagers respected that happy family. Each year Malati was binding sacred Rakhi on the right wrist of Harish which was a token of protection of Malati by the proper vigilance of Harish. A few years passed away and they became major. At that time Harish was staying in his hostel and preparing for BA final exam.

Once a miraculous incident happened in the village Nirakarpur which stunned the entire villagers. That day was the eve of the RAKSHYA BANDHAN festival when Malati was thinking over how to tie rakhi on her brother's wrist who was in the hostel room of his college situated at a distance of ten kilometers away from their house. But Harish fell suddenly sick and babbling in serious viral fever. So he was unable to go to his village for the purpose. Malati was also waiting for her brother's arrival with an ardent desire to tie the sacred Rakhi.

The next day i. e. Rakhi Purnima was the day of Raksha Bandhan. The parents and neighbors were prone to see Harish. At just 8 AM they saw Harish was coming home for tying Rakhi and after reaching home he met Malati. Malati tied Rakhi and feed sweetmeats to Harish, her elder brother and in reciprocity, she received one hundred rupees. Then Mr. Harish left for his hostel as the final exam was approaching and he had to study. After a few days, his father paid a visit to the hostel to see him. Harish cried loudly when he saw his father as he was quite unable to move to the village on Rakhipurnima because of viral fever.

The agony of Harish moved his father's emotion which made him fully embarrassed and returned home. This miracle of the true affectionate bond between brother and sister was factually unprecedented. That day all the neighbors were amazed and persisted on to call on a paranormal expert and informed about the matter. The expert clarified that when a very strong cordial attachment is there between any two persons this happens spontaneously. Because when a person sleeps, his inner essence is always acting according to metaphysics. So the case was the same as what had happened in the case of Harish. His inner essence took up his original form and did the needful. Moreover, the parents and the villagers were also loving Harish excessively.

[ This is a story written on a slate with chalk by Late Maun Baba ( the Ever Silent Monk ) who was residing at a monastery situated at Bidanasi, Cuttack Garibdas Math. He was also the spiritual guru of late RN Mishra, Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India. My late grandfather was also devoted to him and I was often playing with him to the monastery,]
