Day 4: Yellow: Happiness Is Inside You

Once upon a time, there was a rich businessman in a city. He had no shortage of anything. All the tangible support was available to him. But then, too, he felt worried and unhappy. There was no joy or cheer in his life.

To find the answer to his problem, he went to a hermitage of a sage in the village. He greeted the sage, told him his problem and waited.

The sage took some time to speak to him. Finally, he said, 'Come back tomorrow and you will have the answer to your problem.'

Next day, at the appointed hour, the man visited the sage again. It appeared that the sage was looking for something outside his hermitage.

'O holy one, what are you looking for? Let me help you!'

'I have lost my ring. I am looking for it.'

Hearing this, the man started to search for the ring. They searched for hours but could not find it. Eventually. the man asked the sage, 'Where did you lose the ring?'

'Inside my hut in the hermitage.'

'What?? Then why are you looking for it in here. . .'

'Because it is too dark in there so I am looking for it in here.'

'But you won't find it here.'

The sage smiled. 'Here lies your answer. Happiness is inside you but you look for it in materialistic things. That is why you are worried. Happiness cannot be brought with money. The key to being joyful and cheerful is inside you.'
