Day 8: Peacock Green: The Secret

Once, there was a man who wished to see his friend who lived far away. He intended to write a letter asking his friend to come to him. So, he sat on a table and started to write. So engrossed was he that he did not look up for even a second. He just put his head down and continued to work. After writing for a good one hour, he finally ended the letter.

When he looked up, he was surprised to find his friend waiting for him. Shocked, he gazed at his friend.

'Since when have you been standing here?'

'Half-an-hour,'

'But then, why did you not tell me that you were here?'

'You were so absorbed in your work that I did not wish to disturb you.'

The man sat stunned but soon embraced his friend. He realized that desires get fulfilled the moment you stop desiring.
