LORD UTTARESHWAR TEMPLE, the senior-most ASTASHAMBHU of CHOUDWAR has been fulfilling the desires of all his devotees since thousands of years ago as yet and He and His Temple premises have been taken care of by the honest Bramhin families of village Agrahat which is situated nearby Charbatia ARC. They are the priests of Lord Uttareshwar alloted by Gajapati of Puri through Dalijoda King since long long ago. This sacred Shaiva Pitha is famous for Sarpa Medha Yagnya performed by the King Janmejay.

During 1970s all the villagers of Agrahat and most of the devotees of Dalijoda Area informed the Archaeological Dept. of Odisha for reconstruction and rehabilitation of the temple and to declare this ancient heritage site of Odisha as a Tourism Centre under the due recommendations of OTDC. Our late grandfather and some of the local influential persons had also taken sincere steps in this regard. As per their joint sincere efforts GOO has initiated the rehabilitation works of the temple and now its construction works has almost been completed by virtue of the generosity of the conservationists but solicitation for a Tourist Centre has not been approved till today wherefore a gloomy atmosphere is spread among all the devotees and well wishers of the Lord Uttareshwar Mahadev whom King Birat, father in law of great worrier Abhimanyu had established Lord in this Temple for satisfaction of his beloved daughter prince Uttara.

Now it is a matter of grave concern of all loving devotees of Lord Uttareshwar that though nearabout 6000 thousand years is going to be completed still Odishan, Indian or global people are ignorant of this oldest ASTASHAMBHU Khetra's Mahatmya without being highlighted. Lord SHIV is the most poweful dominant God of this current Era Kali Yug we may not appreciate to neglect our Lord in view of Sanatani Culture. May He bless us for achieving best fortune in our life and also we always pray Him for well being of all the global inhabitants for ever.... { ॐ नमो शिबाय }....
