BLIND MEN & THE ELEPHANT

Once four blind men entered into a kings palace. They were paupers. At the royal courtyard a elephant was standing tied up.They were curious to see it. But they were alas, helpless, because of their blindness. So they solicited the royal Mahunta only to touch the elephant. Blind persons, by Divine Power, can know well about a thing while they touch. Though their visual sense is poor, but their other senses are sharp. They touched the elephant after being permitted by Mahunta. One of them touched it's belly and he told, " Dear friends it is just like a wall. " Second blind man touched it's tail and explained, " O it is just like a rope. " Third one touched it's legs and he told, " Really it is just like a strong pillar. " Last one touched it's ears and he opined, " O yes it is just like a winnowing fan ". However, these were their wrong perception about an elephant. In fact the elephant is not so. Likewise in human society there are innumerable persons. They can never be unanimous in their opinions. Doctors differ. Sometimes some people feel one thing. But opine differently. They are just like those four blind men. Hence it is always advised by wise men which is taken for granted forever in the society that, one should express one's view on something only after getting perfect knowledge and observation on it without keeping trust on a rumour. Otherwise one must be humiliated by the one who know the truth. Moral: First see and understand perfectly. Then tell about something. It is a sign of true conscience.
