When Words Fail, Music Speaks
When Words Fail, Music Speaks
Where words fail, music speaks is one of the most powerful quote by, Hans Christian Andersen, wherein it makes me ponder my thoughts on how music can make one feel so relaxed even when people try to explain and counsel through words. Music relaxes, helps in the self thinking process and it helps many to concentrate better.
Let us consider a situation wherein we are into the need of self introspection, we have someone who is talking to us, and giving us ideas to conquer our negative thoughts, it mentally curbs our mind, whereas a simple instrumental music gives us the solution so easily because, our mind gets into the music and not stops processing words.
Words can be harsh but Music can always calm our mind. Words may soothe on a temporary basis but the music will stay forever. Music always creates ruptures in mind where you connect to the exact situation you have had when you listen to a particular kind of music or a song. Be it electronic, classical or any other form may directly connect to the inner mind, whereas words can sometimes not be that interactive. It may change the entire form of discussion and lead to a disgrace.
When it comes to a sheer comparison between the music and words, music always has an influence over the minds of individuals. Right from childhood a kid is taught the poems first before teaching the words. With the poems, he gets connected to the language and faces a lesser problem while grasping the words in future.
There was scientific research conducted wherein plants were made to hear a particular music at a time for a specified number of days, and they found that the plants near which the music was played bloomed better and grew faster. Hence, just like the plants, humans too can grow mightier since it helps to concentrate as I mentioned earlier.
So while writing this article with my music played on my headphones, I can really connect to whatever I have written above. Hence, I would recommend you too, to try Music therapy. It sounds too clingé but it's the fact.
