The Unicorn And A New Friend
The Unicorn And A New Friend
I did not want to do anything to take care of my unicorn. I fervently wished I had never seen, helped or done anything related to the fairy. Or brought my sister to the subway in that matter. I looked at the wide, hazelnut brown eyes of the unicorn gazing at me expectantly. I raised my hand towards the sky, it raised its eyes towards my palm. I brought my arm down, the unicorn averted its eyes to the ground. I pouted and it shook its velvety, white mane of fur sideways. It brayed slightly and stepped towards me, tilting its head sideways as if deciding whether I was a threat or just a pesky insect. Apparently, it decided that I was just a pesky insect because it stopped staring at me and curled up inside itself, its glinting, golden horn shining in the morning sunlight.
I walked cautiously towards the animal, not meaning to startle it. The unicorn raised its eyes and stood up, looking as regal as a majestic mythical creature cloud. I could feel fear rising inside of me as I tried my best to run but my feet were as petrified as a cold, hard stone. It bent low, crouching in a cat-like stance and bowed its head down, its long, silky mane falling low. It was.. bowing? I trudged towards the unicorn, and softly nuzzled its coat of soft fur. It moved towards me, steadily and to my surprise it did n0ot pounce on me but instead it cuddled inside my arms. It was a weird sort of sensation. A sort of love, a sort of confusion but whatever it was, I loved that feeling. I hugged the unicorn’s neck tightly and pulled myself closer towards him. Perhaps it wasn’t that bad after all..
