Sunday Stifle

Sunday Stifle

The weather is so listless and dampening. Monsoon has set in its full form. Dark clouds and drizzle the entire day is a little bit stifling. That too a Sunday with such a weather is so boring really. We have to try a bit harder to make the day better. Make something delicious, good rocking music, and a game of cards or chess or Chinese checker would also suffice to keep you active and engaged. I spoke to my friends and relatives it was so refreshing. Sharing is caring after all. Of course it is depressing not to venture out anywhere due to scary news about the third wave of the pandemic. It seems a very long time since anyone of us have gone out anywhere whether a movie, mall or any Restaurant. Our neighbours grand son turned 4 months, they had a small function arranged so that few of us could go and bless the young one, but hardly anyone was present may be due to the Pandemic or a session of Vaccination.

So now most of the marriages or naming ceremonies or engagement ring ceremony has restricted attendance. In a way it is disheartening but in a way it is better for our Safety and health. Writing, Reading, painting and any other hobby can be taken up and Excel in it we have ample time for that provided we do not have any job. I have taken up writing in a full fledged way. It is so relieving and refreshing. Singing is another way of relaxing which I am trying out sometimes. Yoga and Walking is another activity that I am religiously trying to follow. Reading about Economy and other financial developments is definitely on the cards for me now. It will keep us more informed. Better than gossiping and back biting.

We can make our thought process better by listening to few religious discourses too. It will keep us grounded and balanced. I regularly chant few mantras that give me solace. So we can adapt to the new situation by adopting measures that are amicable to our time, mind heart and soul. Keep rocking, be happy, smiling and spread laughter whenever possible.
