Quest For The Cure

Far far away in a beautiful, well developed city there lived a queen and king. Their names were Bliss and Johnson. They were very loving. All was well but one day an evil sorcerer came to Magicsvilla. He wanted to rule over the world and what better place to start. He cast an evil spell which made thousands of creatures sick. It was called Coronavirus.  

King: Oh dear! Our subjects’ lives are at risk. Queen: Now, now, we mustn’t dilly dally send a team to find a cure immediately. King: Oh that is a splendid idea.King: My beloved subjects, we will appoint a rescue team that will find the cure. The list will be told soon. Stay home and stay safe!

Mr Doc: Oh, these poor people… What a life this is.. Take good care of them!

Andrea: Yes Doc, I hope they recover soon! And the king! Everything will now be ruined. I do not want this world to be full of despair.. 

Martha: Oh yes.. winks! 

__King_: Coughs.. Doctor.. I.. Ugh.. How’s my family!

Scarlett: Did you hear the king has got covid! Oh dear, this has become quite serious! Now we will have to find the cure!

Queen: All is not lost my.. subjects..Aragonia! You shall create masks and gloves for us all and sweet little Spiky will help you. This is serious now! You all have to take precautions.. For our king..Acacia you shall make scented and coloured sanitizers and vapours.

Queen: Scientist! Make a potion which when added to water can be used for washing all the vegetables. And also make a I, being the heir, declare a lockdown. Stay home all.

News Reporter: I bring to you today’s news from Magic Villa. Queen Bliss has announced a lockdown!!!!!!Everyone will now work from home!The covid cases will rise up! Stay Home! Stay Safe!Now we interview a yogic guru who will give his influence and take on covid.

Supermarket : Delivering goods to every house. Fast and quiet like a mouse

Andrea: The king’s health is deteriorating every day. Look how pale he has become…

Mr Doc: Yes.. He’s lost his sense of smell and appetite.

Andrea to queen: Queen Bliss, Your majesty is……

Queen: What?.....What happened to Johnson.

Andrea: His health is not improving at all. He has lost his sense of appetite and smell.

Queen : Oh no! Just what I feared about. 

Queen: Give me my special covid suit. I will personally meet him.

Andrea: Yes, Your Highness.

Voice over: Bliss and Johnson are having a conversation and Bliss fears for Johnson’s life.They call Mr.Doc and Dark Eye{a person who has a good knowledge of books.old and should be a wizard}

Bliss: Dark Eye and Mr. Doc, do you know what can cure such a disease that Johnson has got.We surely know one thing that all of this is done by Johnson’s brother Basilisk. That cruel creature wants to rule over Magic Villa.And thinks just cause Johnson is younger he ought not to be king. We have a wise ruler, my Johnson. 

Dark Eye:Your Highness, I think I know…..

Bliss: Yes continue. I want to save him as soon as possible. 

PANEL16

Dark Eye: I know...about a book, Legend Of The Charm by Sauna Wilbers, my granny.. She was the only witch who knew about the charms.. and she mentioned such a disease.

Bliss: Where is it?.. And does it speak about the symptoms and cures?

PANEL 17

Dark Eye: Yes,

Ummm……. I think it is here somewhere... right here.. Covered in soot. *Cough* One moment please.

Voice Over: Suddenly a book fell crashing down with a thump. And a pile followed

Here it is *Cough*Yes, Your Highness it has every detail mentioned but it is written in Sansara and Riyadh. Two ancient languages and we need a translator. What about Jarvis? Let us ask a team of creatures to find the clues to decipher it. 

Bliss: Oh dear!.. I cannot allow that. Risking the lives of her subjects is not a good trait of a just queen. 

Panel 19

Dark Eye: Now, now if we do not find the script this queen will have no subjects.

Bliss: You have a point.. Let me see whether I can lift off this lockdown..

Panel 20

Bliss: It is with fear I announce a lift off of the banner: CURFEW for a few days but.. My people but you shall not go out. This is only for a team of researchers who will help find the cure. 

People: *Cheer then boo*

Bliss: So.. the team shall include 6 of the majestic yet wise creatures of Magic Villa headed by the Scientist:

Vellisnavy

Panel 22-

Queen: Now that you are ready go with Celestia. She shall tell you the further instructions. 

Panel 23-

Celestia: Oh hello.. Pleasure to meet you. Ok so I would like you to go to the Deadwood Forest. There in the middle of nowhere the potion shall lie. But only if you are wise you will not die. Malory, I appoint you as the captain. May you lead this team to success. All the best for your journey. My friend Spring shall guide you. 

Panel 24-

Voice over: Now the team excited yet scared and left on their journey.

Panel 25-

First they reached the masks shop and Aragonia welcomed them.

Aragonia: Buy some masks so vivid

And protect yourself from COVID. 

Ah! You are finally here. One by one 10 feet apart please.

Panel 26

Voiceover: Aragonia was no normal dragon. She breathes out fabric, lace, sparkles, gems, ribbons. You need to stand in front of her and she will dress you up in anything that suits you!

Martha: We know the rules and I would like it in black.

Umm.. I mean silver.

Peryton: Martha! What is that attitude!I thought you were nice. And black.. Are you okay? Oh! Look, the sky is turning purple.. It reminds me of Akantha… SHUDDERS

PANEL 27-

All masks were given now only the sanitizers were left:

Redberry : Scented vapours and sanitizers here

Panel 28-

Voiceover: After getting sanitized and squeaky clean our team now goes with Spring to the Deadwood Forest..

Vellisnavy: This sounds like a very creepy name.. I am getting chills down my spine..

Spring: Hello I am Spring, an earth dragon. I will help you in this wild adventure. So buckle up your seatbelts.

Panel 29-

Soon it was getting cold and dark.

Malory- Let’s take shelter in that cave 

After we feel warm we can resume the mission. 

Panel 30

Voiceover- As they got in, a mighty Chimera Sterngold jumped at them ready to attack (thinking they were with Basilisk)

After a few moments of the fight…….

Vellisnavy- Sir we are not here to fight. We are finding a cure for Coronavirus caused by Basilisk..

Panel 31

Sterngold: That evil Basilisk..he harmed by wife

Zebonsilver: Papa let's go with them and kill basilisk..I loved mama.. howlsss

 

Panel 32

It was a long journey and they finally reached Deadwood Forest.

Nanny: Oh this place looks horrendous. I should have never given up my job at babysitting. Now I am stuck here.

Ichthyocentaur: I can sense the presence of evil amongst us who shall betray..

Panel 33-

All of a sudden the team found themselves stuck in a labyrinth with deathly thorns all around them.

Jackalope: Where are we? What just happened?

Panel 34

Blackwell: MWAHAHAHA! Now I shall release a timer. Lets see if you can find your way out. But there are evils all around.

They all started running hurriedly in different directions

Malory: Stop!! Let's analyze and find a way out! Stop panicking!

Panel 35-

All of a sudden the purple moonlit shone and Martha transformed into Akantha The Dreaded. 

Vellisnavy: Akantha… is Martha!

Martha: I can explain! Please.. Or not! Let's see how you can escape. I would love the show! MWAHAHAHA

Panel 36-

All of them now went the right way for they were just too panicked.

Panel 37

Ichthyocentaur- I have a feeling we are heading the right way.

Suddenly the Gama dragon appears

Gama Dragon- Come this way and try to fight me. THE GREAT GAMA DRAGON! HAHAHA!and he started spitting out fire.

Panel 38

Voiceover -This was the ultimate limit to what spring could take. 

Spring- Destroying Nature! Well, Gama Dragon thank god I did not tell Martha the new skill I picked up during the online class. Now feel the wrath of mother nature. 

Malory - Yes team, We fear no one..

Panel 39

Nanny: I shall spray them with the sleepy potion. It's a secret trick I use for the babies. Do not tell them!

Vellisnavy: I shall turn invisible. Mysticaaa

Panel 40

Each character used their powers to try to defeat the mighty beast..

Jackalope : I will run so fast that they will become dizzy.

Peryton : I have icy powers. With a trick I can freeze them.

Ichthyocentaur : My tail can release methane and Chlorine.

Sterngold: My tail is venomous, my goat horns can hurt you too and my nails can pierce your skin.

Zebonsilver: I can cry so loud and my voice is so screechy that I can make anybody go deaf.

Martha: But my dearies you have to fight me too. After all, Gama is my brother…

Panel 41-

Sterngold: My tail is venomous, my goat horns can hurt you too and my nails can pierce your skin.

Panel 42

The greatest fight of Magics Villa was just witnessed. Each of the characters used their powers and they together they defeated any mighty character that came their way.. Even Deathler the Gama and Blackwell were defeated.

Blackwell: I surrender Basilisk sir should have warned me that you all were this dangerous and Martha also could not defeat you..

Deathler: We are extremely sorry but we had to do this or else we would be infected by covid. Here is the cure now I do not want to see you ever again.. Ow! My head…

Vellisnavy:What surrendered so easily! Now you know it's bad to mess with our king for then his loyal subjects shall ruin your lives.

Panel 43

Now the team goes to the palace.Surprised to find THE GREEDY, SELF CENTERED AND VAIN BASILISK himself. 

Sorcerer: Thos brite coil not fight you but I will. MWAHAHAHA. Lets see who will die first, you or your queen! 

Malory- Oh that vain sorcerer is trying to kill our queen.We have to attack together because together we stand, divided we fall. Jackalope run. Vellisnavy attack invisible. Zebonsilver cry.

Nanny Unicorn and Peryton ATTACK! Ichthyocentaur and Sterngold start fighting. Haiyya!

Panel 44

Soon they overpowered the Basilisk. And killed him. Then they gave Celestia the cure who knew there was something wrong. She analyzed it …She tried experimenting with a creature..

Panel 45-

Creature: Thank You!.. Ugh! I feel weird.. Look at me!

Scientist: What! You have turned into a yeti! This potion must have side effects ! I will extract it and get back to you immediately! 

Panel 46-

The scientist now extracted a thing that gave side effects and the cure was shared with the citizens.

Harpy: Doctor I feel much better. It was stupid of me to think of stepping down. My advice is readers stay upstairs. I thank you with all my heart and of course scientist and a big thank you to that lovely team for their relentless efforts towards creature kind. 

Panel 47-

And like every aspect in life this story also had a happy ending. We conclude with a short note-

Dear Readers, remember life is full of ups and downs, nothing bad will remain forever. “After a storm comes a calm”. Did you know: Newton discovered gravity during an epidemic too..!
