6.Madhurakavi Alvar

      Madhurakavi Alwar was born in a Brahmin family. He was specially talented by birth.He scholared in Sanskrit and Tamil and studied various scriptures even in his young age. 

       Madhurakavi was inspired by the devotional feeling and visited many holy places like Madhura, Kashi ,Kanchi ,Dwarka, Badri and so on.When he was inspired by God's inspiration and met Nammalvar in Holi Gurukur in Tirunelveli, Nammalvar 's presence made his heart tingle. Madhurakavi considered Nammalvar as his Guru and assumed the responsibility of bonding his versus in variety of melodies.

     It may seem to be a wonder event that making a younger aged Vellalar was considered as Guru by a wisdomed Brahmin, but in the devotional way - cast, age ,different in class - often disappear. Nammalvar exiled to the world of Vishnu at the age of 35.Nearly 19 years Madhurakavi stayed engaged in serving of Nammalvar . Besides Madhurakavi did great works for society and literature to promote and disseminate the devotional feeling.

       Madhurakavi who understood Nammalvar ,as the Divine ,he named his versus as ' Deva Vani 'and Nammalvar as 'Devakavi'.
