My experience

Today Indian hockey team won the match and selected for semifinal.While seeing a live match at Chennai, international players in the team Chennai Cheetahs played and won the match on that day.In the team I have seen from the gallery, one European player talked to other players and coach.Nobody listened to him.I just went to near and tried to listen to him,no use! I can't understand a single word of his speech.When I asked my son Ganesh who was the physiotherapist for the team, he said nobody knows European languages and European players don't know English which is known to all others in the team.I am surprised how they will communicate with the coach and other players in the team.But they won the match on that day!

On 2022 I went to attend a conference at Kathmandu, Nepal and there only two of us, me and my colleague, know Tamil.Research scholars came from all over India, so their languages are Malayalam, Telugu, Marathi, Assamese, Punjabi, Avathi and so on.But we are united there by Hindi.Some scholars are so patriotic that they don't know English!
