Why Is My Name Mogambo?

We all know the iconic dialogue "Mogambo khush hua".It was written by Javed Akhtar and narrated by Amrish Puri in the cult movie Mr.India.

This dialogue became a household favorite. Even now people still give it a reference time and again. This character Mogambo became one of the most memorable performances of Amrish Puri and it made him an all-time admired villain of Hindi cinema.

An avid fan of Amrish Puri, Ankit Mishra named his son Mogambo. All was well until Mogambo aka Monty reached class 5. One day he came back home looking sad. His father asked him why he looked sad?

Monty said Dad "Why is my name Mogambo"?

Ankit said your name is after one of the most iconic characters of Bollywood, Mogambo of Mr.India's fame.

This character was played by Mr.Amrish Puri, who was his favorite actor and a great human being.

Besides, it has a meaning. It translates to "the greatest".

Ankit made Monty understand the importance of his name.

Now Monty is comfortable with his name. And whenever anyone teases him, he says "Mogambo Khush Hua".
