It was a forest area.

The sky was cloudy and very dark...

In the evening, I went walking with my father. I was wearing a frock which was red.

“You are looking gorgeous in this frock, my angel”, my dad praised me.

The sky was full of darkness. A few minutes later, it started raining.

On holding my father's hands, I was playing and splashing water on the road with my legs.

Cars, bicycles, motorbikes, buses were splashing water on us. I enjoyed it.

We didn’t take shelter anywhere. We reached our street. Rain ceased. As there was a power cut, our street was very dark.

“Pappa, I am petrified. Please, hold me tightly.”

“Reetu ma, don’t be scared. I'm here.”

“I held my father’s hands very tightly and walking on the road.”

Suddenly, there was a gang of drunkards approaching us. They passed bad comments on me. My father didn’t react to it. Again, they commented. My father warned and at once we left that place.

As they were in a drunken state, they didn’t listen to my father's words. They followed and teased me. My father slapped one of them. They got angry and beat my father.

Suddenly, they pulled me forcibly from my father.

“Pappa, save me!”

They carried me into the thicket.

I was shouting for help until I see my father's face.

Within a few minutes, I have waned from my father's gaze.

I beat, bite and booted them.

They stripped my frock, made me nude and perverted me. I couldn’t raise my voice and they surrounded me.

Suddenly, I heard the barking sound of dogs from somewhere. Dogs rushed there barking and jumped on them. They were our street guards. Dogs saw me when those men took me into the forest. I didn't notice that the dogs were following me. I was feeling grateful when they came there and jumped on them to save me.

How grateful they (dogs) are!

Those men were bitten by the dogs and they ran away.

I fed those dogs. They were showing their faithfulness. Then, one of the dogs went to bring my father.

Till then, my father was roaming and hunting me into the forest

My father reached the spot. He was shocked to see my plight.

“Reetu ma, what happened to you?” my dad cried.

I was the only relation to my father. My mother deceased a year ago.

The next day, my father planned to go to the Police station to file a grievance on them.

I stopped and asked my father, "What is the use of filing a grievance on them?"

Is our law going to punish them severely?

Victims are suffering throughout their life.

END ?????

To my beloved readers,

Our country is known for its rich culture, tradition, and customs. In such a nation, how can we accept such ill-treatment towards small children, especially to girls?

When are we going to put an END to these problems???
