Experience

This incident happened to one of my close relative. It is true every bit and the way it was communicated brings goosebumps even today after so many years read on to know what the experience was.        Umang was so happy and excited and so were his parents and the extended family that consisted of his grand parents of both sides , that is paternal and maternal. Yes , , Umang was getting married to a girl of his choice. You might be wondering as to what is so different here every groom does the same, He will get married to a girl of his and may be his parent's choice. Now if we go into the history Umang was the only son of a very well to do couple Rajiv and Vinita. He was highly educated and held a well paid corporate job in America. So a very highly placed groom who might be in high demand. Ofcourse he was. But the only glitch was he was a manglik. As per astrology a manglik boy has to marry a manglik girl and vice versa for a happy married life.

Umang followed whatever his mother told him and waited this long to find a girl who too was a manglik. So, the marriage was fixed and everyone was happy for this development. The venue was chunda palace Rajasthan which would be a spectacular destination wedding. Umang and his family hailed from Jodhpur Rajasthan so the destination chosen was near to Jodhpur so that all relatives would be able to attend the wedding. His friends and known people would any way attend the wedding from their respective places. Umang's parents were happy for another reason that the Pandemic was now not so rampant and it was expected that all invitees will confidently attend the event. This was the plan. On the day of the wedding everything happened as planned. The event was well planned. Food was delicious. Flower decor, interiors everything were to the mark. All invitees thoroughly enjoyed the event and left the Venue happily.,

As a tradition Umang's Grand parents asked him to visit all temples around Jodhpur and take the blessings of the almighty, His parents too accompany the. Newly weds on this trip. Umang too was religious so he agreed to this program and made arrangements for the travel. He booked two cars that would accommodate atleast 10 family members. But what slipped out of his mind was few kids too would join them since their mom's would be traveling along with Umang and his new bride. Finally everything was arranged and they set out on this journey. Temple after temple they covered almost 10 in number. The feeling amongst everyone was awesome. Gods and Goddesses were so alluring and the whole experience was so very spiritual. The newly weds were enjoying this beautiful experience. The last temple in this list was of Lord Ganesh the God who removes all obstacles and grants our wishes., What else to ask for? Umang and his bride along with other elders proceeded towards the temple leaving behind the group of 4 to 5 young children who would not be interested to visit the temple. They would be seated in the Car only. Before leaving Umang locked the car doors and even pulled the hand break of the Car lest the car would start moving by itself. This would be a big risk. After making these arrangements the elders and the newly weds proceeded towards the temple with the promise that they would come back quickly within few minutes. The children were ok with this idea.

They could play with the car horn , lights etc But, what happened next is nothing but a big mishap that luckily got averted. This is what actually happened. One of the child from the group by mistake or mischief unlocked the hand break of the car. The car started moving backwards slowly. Children started screaming out of fear luck by chance just then Umang and the group came out of the temple. Within no time Umang jumped to stop the car not knowing how he would do it. But, miraculously the car stopped by itself after getting entangled to some wires and cables that were strewn around a small bridge where the car was stuck. How the car stopped by itself wad something no one understood.

Along with some pedestrians Umang slowly approached the car that was literally hanging on the bridge with terrified children inside, brought it down to the ground with great difficulty and opened the car doors and brought the children out on to the ground. It took a long time to pacify the children. They calmed down after sometime. The car was damaged little bit. After settling the bills everyone heaved a sigh of relief. Thinking back Umang feels what would have happened if they had not come out of the temple on time, what would have happened if the car would barge ahead and fall down into the water that was flowing beneath, what if any live electric wire would come in contact to the body of the car, ? Even today he shudders thinking about the incident. But , his belief in the almighty pacifies his mind with the answer from inside that says God is the saviour and all prayers will be answered well on time. He is omnipresent to believers and will do miracles on time. With this thought and a happy ending to the entire scenario Umang and his bride along with the other family members went back to their homes singing merrily.
