This story is based on the importance of water and I hope readers you understand this term and like my story.

As we know water is essential for all the living beings but still we waste water everyday and for this many people in dry areas can't get clean and pure water. So, through this story I want to tell that how this silly mistake of us can lead to the destruction of life on Earth.

There is a city named Kolkata and in this city a famous businessman named Rahul Chopra lived. He lived with his wife Ratna and daughter Amrita. Amrita was growing day by day and entering into youth and also she became more beautiful. Whenever Amrita went for morning walk, the women in that garden talk among themselves that she is so adorable and cute. The street boys also tease her but she gives a befitting reply as she was a tough girl. Amrita was a very good girl. She studies well, does household works, does dance, her behaviour to everyone was very nice. Her age was marriageable now so that's why her parents selected a boy and called his family to meet them. The boy's name was Akhil Sharma. Akhil's parents came. Both Amrita and Akhil talked and they said yes for marriage. Then soon the date was fixed for their marriage and Amrita's parents did her marriage very nicely and happily. After Amrita became the daughter-in-law of the Sharma family. She did all the household works.

One day in the neighbourhood, all the neighbours said "Oh! Water is not coming in our houses, maybe the tank is emptied. But how it is empty ? The tank is empty because Sharma's daughter-in-law uses so much water. So, the water would obviously be completed". Amrita is a good girl but she has a bad habit of wasting water. The neighbours discussed this and went to the house of Sheetal, Amrita's mother-in-law. They told this to Sheetal and she make her understand but Amrita didn't understand and she wasted water.

One day some of the neighbours came to invite them to the anniversary of their son and daughter-in-law. The whole Sharma family came to their party. It was a very nice party. There was many varieties of food and that was very delicious. There were maximum 40-50 people in the party. But suddenly water wasn't available and the guests needed water. There was tasty food but no water. Then some of the guests also went to their home angrily. Some of the people asked "How there is no water"? Then the neighbours said "This must be because of Amrita. She doesn't uses water she wastes it". The Sharma family was very embarassed and Akhil also heard it and decided to teach Amrita a lesson.

It's been a month since their marriage and one day Amrita asked to Akhil "It's been a month and I think we should go to a trip". Akhil said "I was also thinking that and also I have the tickets and we are going after a week". Amrita becomes very happy.

After a week they went to the trip and the destination was a surprise for Amrita. They went to airport to catch the flight and then they reached their destination after one day. They reached the place and they catched a pickup taxi. Amrita saw a desert. They went to a desert for the trip. Akhil says that "Everyone goes to beach and hill station but we should do something different". They arrived at a guest house and went to their room. When Amrita went to bathroom to freshen up a little bit, she saw there was no water. Then she asked Akhil. Akhil said "Oh! Sorry I forgot to tell you that in the guest house water only comes two hours. Well, whatever don't worry water would come at night and now let's go for site seeing". Amrita agreed. Then they went for site seeing.

When they were seeing the sites. Amrita saw a bunch of people who were standing in a line for filling water into their pots. Amrita saw this for the first time and asked Akhil about this. Akhil said "They all come here everyday and fill water and sometimes also they don't get water and they take empty pots to their home. They don't have all the facilities like we have and the water does not come for 24 hours in their home like us". After listening to this Amrita was very sad and unhappy.

Then they went to an another site. There Amrita saw two children who were eating food and also beside them was a bottle of dirty water. Amrita asked Akhil "Are they going to drink the dirty water"? Akhil said "At least they have water to drink though it is dirty but sometimes they also don't have water to drink". Amrita thought that she has wasted so much water before. In these two weeks Amrita just thought about this. Then they came to Kolkata. After that whenever she saw that water was wasting, she always remembered the children that she saw at the desert and the dirty water. From then onwards she never wasted water and used water carefully. Amrita took a vow that she would never waste water and save life.

Moral- As readers you read the story we shouldn't waste water and save it for our future generation because there is only 0.04% something pure and clean water. So in all this means "SAVE WATER, SAVE LIFE"

So, this was a try from me to save water in story form because pen has more power than a sword. I hope more and more people read this story and understand this term. And if you like my contents then check out my all posts and give likes, comments and ratings. Please stay tuned.
