Epitome Of God

This is a story about a girl named Elle, who is half Indian and half American. Her life is all about pain and misery. She has never experienced love in her life not even from her parents. So let's see her story and learn a significant lesson of our life. 

One normal day, Elle was on her way home from her college. As always she was with her best friend Rei, wandering on the streets to get some fresh air. Suddenly, Elle asked to her bestie -:

Elle - "Rei, can I stay at your home tonight ? "

Rei - "Sure you don't have to ask for it Elle. But what happened, why so suddenly you wanna come my home ? "

Elle -"It's just that, it's my little bro Jack's birthday party today evening, and as always all his friends and their families are going to be present there. And my mom doesn't want me in the party. Well even I don't want to be there. So that's the thing. "

Rei - "Well, you know what Elle, you can't do this for your whole life. I know what your parents think about you but still they can't do this everytime. Whenever they are having parties, they will always tell you to get out of the house and this isn't good in any way. Elle you have to do something. Besides, Jack loves you as his big sister, he would like to have you in the party. "

Elle - "Rei, that's true in my family only Jack is the one who treats me like his sister. Not to mention, my other brothers don't even bother to look at me. And my parents are the worst ever. But I don't want to be there. Let's just have a sleepover tonight at your house. "

Rei - "Well, if that is what you want, then it's done. My mom would love to have you tonight. By the way, when do you wanna go ? "

Elle - "We will get going right now. I will quickly go home and get my essentials, and then we are set to go. "

Rei - "Okay, I am waiting here in the nearby park. "

Elle's father is Indian and her mother is American, they both met, when they were studying in college and since then they love each other. Well currently they live in the States and are freaking rich. They have a grand mansion which has over 10 rooms and a beautiful garden as well. Elle's father is CEO of his company and Elle's mother also assists in the company's work. Elle has four brothers, among them; three brothers Lucas, Richard and Jake are her elder brothers and Jack being her younger brother. In the whole family only Jack was the one who genuinely cared about Elle while her parents and other brothers don't even bother to talk to her. The reason was that her parents didn't want a daughter at all because though they lived in a foreign country but their thoughts were always old-fashioned and as we all know people think that daughters are a waste of money, because so much money is spent on their education but at last they will get married and they think there's no use of this. And that's exactly what Elle's parents thought about her, and they also brainwashed their sons so that they won't support Elle. Well, Elle was already habituated to this situation and she would spend most of her time at Rei's house. And that's how her life is going on. Well enough of this talk and now let's move on with the story. 

Elle walked into her house which was decorated grandly for Jack's birthday celebration. It's not like she doesn't want to be there but it's just that her own family doesn't want her so why should she go and approach them. Well, brushing off her thoughts, she went into her room, packed her bags and now she was going downstairs. When suddenly her mom called her, at first she couldn't believe her ears because it's always her who would approach her, and it's the first time her mom is calling her and that too very lovingly and sweetly. Elle slowly walked towards her mom and said -:

Elle - "What happened mom ? "

Her mom - "Elle my child, I know, I had said you to not be at the mansion tonight, but you know I realised that how wrong I was. So that's why I want to make it up to you and now I request you to please be present in the birthday party. I am sure everyone would like to have you especially Jack. "

Elle - "Mom it's fine, I am gonna stay at Rei's house and you don't have to apologise for it. "

Her mom - "Elle please it's a request from your mom. And besides I have something very special to announce at the party, so I would like to have you here. Please don't say no to it, Elle. "

Elle was speechless after hearing her mom. She never expected that her mom would literally beg her to attend the party and on top that she has some announcement to make. Looks like her mom is really upto something and now she wants to know what is it. After thinking for some minutes, finally Elle spoke -:

Elle - "Fine mom, I will be there at the party. "

Her mom - "Thanks Elle. You are the best daughter anyone could have. Now I have to get going and you too go to the boutique as fast as you can and select some dresses for you and the makeup artists will be here soon, so get prepared quickly."

Elle - "Sure mom, I will definitely do it. "

With that Elle's mom went away and Elle was now standing in the middle of the empty hall. She never thought her mom could be this sweet to anyone because she always behaves rudely with her. But Elle knew the hidden intentions that her mom had, into inviting her in the party. Elle quickly called Rei and let her know all the things that happened with her. Rei knew that her bestie always makes the best decision so she cancelled the sleepover and wished her best of luck for what's to come in her life. 

Elle was really exhausted from college work and today was her last exam, she wanted to spend her time with Rei but I guess her destiny had some other plans. Getting out of her thoughts, Elle quickly went to the boutique nearby and bought a simple but elegant dress for her. And when she reached home the makeup artists were already there. So, Elle quickly wore her dress and the makeup artists did her makeup. All this time, Elle noticed one thing that her mom was behaving really nicely with her and she couldn't just get that why was she behaving like this. 

It was already 7 pm and guests started to arrive. The mansion was decorated with lights and many other items. It looked magnificent as if it's not just a mansion but a king's palace. Well, not only the outside of the mansion was decorated, the interior was also decorated with disco balls and glitters. All the rich socialites and the businessmen had came with their families. The birthday boy Jack was decked with a well-ironed black shining suit and of course he was the main attraction of the party. Loud music was all over the room, but still the murmuring and whispering of people could be heard. It was a grand party as expected by many people. 

Elle was still fidgeting with the hem of her dress and contemplating with her mind that should she go downstairs or not as this was her first time attending such party. But at last she decided to go. When Elle reached downstairs, all the attention was drawn to her. The people couldn't help but admire her beauty. Elle had wore a beautiful sleeveless blue dress which perfectly fitted her and enhanced her curves. She had preferred to keep light but natural makeup on her face which further enhanced her beauty. Elle was truly looking stunning and glamorous. Avoiding all the stares, she went to her brother Jack and wished him happy birthday and also handed him, his birthday gift. After some minutes, finally Jack cut the birthday cake and everyone sang the birthday song to him. 

Afterwards, everyone got busy in their own talk. Jack was also chatting with some of his school friends. Elle just sat in a corner sipping on her wine. When suddenly her mom came there with some other guests and sat beside her. Her mother then said -:

Her mother - "Elle, meet them; he is the owner of one of the leading companies in our business, Charles Smith and she is his wife Meghan Smith, and this is his son Nick Smith. And all of you, she is my one and only daughter Elle. "

Charles - "Oh this young lady is really beautiful and a perfect match for my son, Nick. Isn't it Meghan ? "

Meghan - "Yes, of course dear, Elle is drop dread gorgeous and I would definitely like to have her as my daughter-in-law. "

Elle was all confused hearing this. She could understand that her mom definitely had some hidden intentions behind it. But in no way, she is going to marry someone and that too just after graduating her college. No this time she will not listen to her mom. Then, Elle said -:

Elle - "Mom what's all this ? I don't remember you telling me anything like that. "

Her mom - "Please just give a minute to talk to Elle. I definitely did tell her about this. But looks like she forgot about it due to her exams. I will be back in a minute. "

With that, Elle's mom dragged her out of there and took her to a corner. Her mom then said -:

Her mom - "Elle I am really sorry that I forgot to tell you about this. But whatever I am doing, it's actually for your own good. See, Nick is a really good and handsome young man, he is perfect for you. If you marry him, you will be happy all your life and besides that we will have a good relationship with one of the most rich family in the States. Elle, it will definitely help to develop your dad's business. We are your family Elle, so please trust us and agree to this marriage. "

Elle - "Never mom, I just graduated from college and I want to fulfill my dream of being a top class graphic designer. I can't give up on my dreams. And you are not my family at all because you have never paid attention to me and have always ignored me then why now. I know you just want to be more rich. I can't believe you and dad are so greedy that you can even sell your own daughter for it. "

Her mom - "Elle it's not like that. We just want you to be happy. And besides you can fulfill your dream after marrying Nick as well. And you are going to marry him next week, so there's no option for you at all. "

Elle - "I won't marry anyone. And that's my final decision. "

With this, Elle went to her room covering her teary eyes. Elle's mom shouted at her multiple times but Elle didn't listen to her at all. Elle went to her room and locked herself up. She doesn't want to be here anymore. She was crying nonstop. Nobody wanted Elle to be happy. Whenever she had happiness in her life, it would fly away like some bird and her life will again become sad and gloomy. After some minutes, Elle finally had the guts to call her bestie Rei. She called her and told her everything that happened with her. Rei then said -:

Rei - "Elle don't cry anymore. We will find a solution for this. "

Elle - "Rei I have a idea. I will run away from here tonight. "

Rei - "Are you sure it's a good idea ? "

Elle - "Yeah I think that's the only solution to my problem. Can I come to your house if you don't mind ? "

Rei - "Of course, where would you go else then, starting from today I tell that you will be living with me in my house and my parents will be more than pleased to hear this news. Don't worry they know about your situation but nobody could help you right now. So don't think about it so much. "

Elle - "Rei you are the friend that everyone needs. Thanks for everything and I will be there before dinner. Bye. "

Elle - "Yeah."

With this Elle hung up the call and changed into some comfortable clothes, then she packed all her things and now she is ready to go. She isn't really gonna miss anyone in the mansion except Jack and after what they have done, she definitely wouldn't. Okay, now getting out of her thoughts, she sneaked into the backdoor and now she was finally outside. Elle called for a cab and after 15 minutes she arrived at Rei's house. 

Rei and her parents were more than excited to see her there but they were also sad seeing her situation and the worst thing is that they couldn't do anything to help her. Elle then ate dinner and slept in Rei's room. 

The next morning, there was chaos in Elle's house as her family couldn't find her anywhere. Not soon after this, Rei got a call from Elle's mother, and she lied that she doesn't know where Elle is when in reality Elle is with her. Elle definitely didn't regret her actions, she knew some day or other the situation would get worse and she would have to run away from her home. Elle's family searched her everywhere in the city with the help of their bodyguards, but they didn't let this news to go out of their family, as they didn't want the media to create a fuss about it as it will have bad consequences for their company. After 2 weeks, her family stopped searching for her and Elle was saddened by this thought that her family didn't even want to know that she is alive or not. 

One Sunday morning, Rei asked Elle -:

Rei - "Elle you look tensed from some days. If there's something that is bothering you, then you can always tell me, you know that right. "

Elle - "Rei I am okay, it's just that I need money to complete my higher education. Well, I have some money in my bank account but it's not enough. Looks like I would have to do a part time job. Well, if you know some places like that then let me know about it. "

Rei - "What are you talking about Elle, my parents are there and did you forget that my parents treat you as their own daughter. Don't worry about money, my parents are gonna pay for your higher education. I don't want any argument about it and I hope that's clear to you. "

Elle - "Rei but still I want to have my own money. Please let me do a part time job. And I promise I won't argue about this matter. "

Rei - "Okay fine, Elle. Well, my cousin Linda has a boutique nearby and she said, she is hiring new recruits, so you can apply there if you want. Also they pay a good amount per month as well. "

With that, Elle and Rei went to the boutique and Elle also got the job as well. After some months, both Rei and Elle had enrolled themselves in a university in London. Well, Elle had to leave her job but she had earned a lot of money from it and that was actually great. 

Next month, both Rei and Elle went to their university in London. Both of them had bought a tiny apartment and they lived there, and continued their studies in London. They also got some part time jobs there. Both of them were having the time of their life. 

After 6 years, Elle is a successful graphics designer and is working in a reputed organisation. Rei is a fashion designer and has her own company as well. Elle has married to Drake, whom she had met at the starting of her career. At first they were enemies but let's say the destiny brought them together. And it's almost been a year to their wedding. 

Actually today was a special day for them as Drake had organised a party to celebrate his company's success. Many rich people and socialites are going to be present there. Elle had already invited Rei and her parents to this party. Elle was nervous about this party because, she was scared that she would run into her parents or brothers today. A voice then echoed in her ears, bringing her back into reality from her thoughts, it was actually Drake who said -:

Drake - "You are looking beautiful darling. But I feel like, you are tensed about something. If that's the thing so then tell me what's the matter. "

Elle - "Actually I am tensed about this party that maybe my parents would be there and I would have to meet them. "

Drake - "Elle don't worry about it, I am by your side so if anything happens then I am there to support you. Okay ? "

Elle - "Yeah fine I know that Drake. Thanks for being on my side. I love you. "

Drake - "I love you too Elle. "

With that, Drake went downstairs. Elle then fixed her dress and went downstairs as well. Then they both drove to the venue where the party was to be held. 

Many guests had already arrived and everyone congratulated Drake on his success. Elle was sitting on the couch and drinking her wine. When suddenly someone tapped on her shoulder, to her surprise it was her mother, her father was also standing beside her. Even her four brothers were there. Elle flashed a small smile at Jack and again looked at her parents with an angry expression and hatred in her eyes. 

Her mom - "Look who's there, Elle where have you been all these years. You know how much disgrace you have brought to our family. Because of you, Mr. Charles withdrew all the investments in our company and we have suffered from many losses. "

Elle - "I am not in a mood to argue with anyone. Whatever happened it was your fault. You only forced me to get married to his son and I didn't want to. I didn't have any other choice but to run away from all of you. And that's what I did, now look at me, I am a successful graphics designer and I have a great married life as well. This is the best decision I had ever made in my whole life. "

Before Elle's mom could say anything, there was a dominating and a scary voice that echoed in everyone's ears. It was none other than Drake. He came there and took Elle's hand in his and said -:

Drake - "Please this is my sincere request to you that don't ever dare to talk like that with her. She is my wife and I would do anything for her. Just because you are her parents, I was silent. You are my guests so please behave yourselves before I do something bad that you all will regret for your whole life. "

Drake's blood was boiling hearing her words and as he was about to say something, Elle stopped him by her eyes. Drake knew that Elle wanted to fight this battle herself and he always supported her decision. So he let go of her hand indicating her that she can go ahead and do whatever she wants. Elle went to the stage, took the microphone in her hands and said -:

"Ladies and Gentlemen, may I have your attention please. As you already know, from ancient times women have been subjugated to the four walls of their home. And even female foeticide and female infanticide are still prevalent in many parts of the world. I personally have faced this all my life. My parents have never treated me like their child. They won't even bother to check on me. I ran away from my home when I graduated college and my best friend Rei has helped me a lot in this journey. With Rei and her parents' help, I completed my higher education and became a successful graphics designer today. Many people think girls are just a waste of money and either they kill them or get them married at an early age. But for those people, especially my parents, there's only one thing that I want to say, women are the epitome of God; God has created women so she can make this world a better place. Also if women aren't there then nobody else would be there. Because remember women had only given birth to men, then who are they to treat us women and girls like this. And I want to tell this to my mom, that you yourself being a woman, how can't you support your own daughter. I just guess, you are too greedy and not to mention brainless as well that you don't understand this thing. Well, this is a message I want to give to all the girls and women present over here that, don't ever feel inferior or weak because all of you are powerful and all of you have the capability to achieve your dreams and make your lives more beautiful. Just remember, women are the epitome of God. So just believe in yourself and nobody can stop you to do what you want to do. That's all I wanted to say and have a wonderful evening. "

After finishing her speech, Elle came down the stage and all the people were clapping for her and encouraging her for taking a stand against her parents. While her parents and brothers couldn't handle the embarrassment and went away from there. Elle didn't feel any regret doing this because she knew, that whatever she did and said was absolutely correct and her parents deserved all of this. Elle was proud of herself and hoped nobody would suffer from this pain like she did. From that day onwards, she lived her life happily with Drake.
