Brave Hearts

Brave Hearts

I am very proud to say that I'm 'the daughter of a Colonel' in our Indian Army.

I admire our Indian Army. The soldiers who are standing on the borders of our nation are the brave hearts. They sacrifice their life for the sake of their nation. They are not selfish. They leave their family and living far away even in life-threatening weather.

Our Indian Army is one of the largest battalions in the world. As Indians, we should feel proud of it. I'll raise my collar and shout, 'I am the daughter of a Colonel'. We think of our soldiers only on some special occasions like Army day, Independence Day, Republic Day and at the time of natural calamities.

During natural calamities, our brave hearts’ work should be respected and appreciated. They have sacrificed their lives for our nation. Those unsung heroes should be respected daily.

My father was a dedicated Army officer. He went to fight against the terrorists in Kashmir. He shot many terrorists and got gunshot on his shoulder. He was admitted to the hospital in ICU. A week after, he took his last breath in the hospital.

My father was a Martyr. The nation paid their homage to him. I was sitting next to him. Our Prime Minister, other Ministers, and higher officials came to pay their respect to him.

I lost my father at the age of 14 when a daughter needed the hands of her father to hold on and guide her on the right path. My father taught me everything.

He taught me how a girl should be! A girl should be assertive, and intrepid.

I'll join in our Indian Army and do my service to my motherland.

A kind request to all:

Don't pay your homage to our unsung heroes merely on some special days. Always pray for our soldiers and their family. We should commiserate with the pain that their family undergoes.

“PRAY FOR OUR HEROES WHO ARE AT THE BORDERS OF OUR NATION.”
