One Thing That Made You Feel Sad Recently !
Most of the time we people are ignored about a few things in life. But have you ever observed what is going around you at least once in day-to-day life? If we had given a moment to see there are many things we feel bad and yes, this one thing has been there in my mind for the past few days, and I didn't find people with whom I can share so I'm dropping it here just to let few people know. As many people know Bangalore is a crowded place and famous for traffic also but it always had good transportation but recently the government gave free travelling for women since then the buses are more rushed than before and now the travelling has become a bit hectic in few routes. I work near Domlur and I stay with my parents in Ittumadu in Banashankari 3rd stage. So, I always travel by bus to my office and return safely. There is only one bus available to our area which is 45D and from there to Corporation and again I need to change to another bus. Even though it was a full rush we needed to get on the bus because if we missed the bus, we would not have an idea when another one would come and if there be a place to at least stand. Caring less about all these things I need to get on the bus because for me it's nearly 2 hrs. journey home considering the traffic in the route. All this is not the main thing that made me feel bad. We know Bangalore is a place where a lot of men and woman both works and being a small kid to 80 women everyone eagerly waits in the evening to go home and that is the main reason we get on the bus even if it is too congested by adjusting a bit. Many elder women ask for seats when they see any youngsters and it is common for them to do that because they are old and can't stand longer and many young people will not mind giving their seats. But recently I have encountered a situation that made me sad.
As usual, I got onto the bus near the corporation and it was a bit rush like every day and there were no seats and I comfortably found a pole to hold to not fall when the driver put a break and there was a youngster sitting in the seat watching Instagram reel by wearing earphones even I usually do that when I have seat to sit but when we reached to K R Market there were many people coming in without leaving any place to stand even and an elderly woman late in her 70's came and stand beside me. Seeing her I felt bad, but I couldn't help her since I was only standing. I just gave a small nod to her leaving a bit of space for her to hold the seat in front but she had two bags in her hand One was a normal lunch box bag which was the medium-sized size one no weight and another one with three books looked like accounting books she asked that young girl three times to hold that bag for which didn't even listen and then again that old woman asked please hold these bags and then with an irritating look she said "give me" and that old woman gave one bag first which she hesitantly took and again when she gave that empty lunch box bag she gave a look at her and said how many you will give thank god this that old man didn't hear properly and she hesitantly took that bags all her actions created a very bad image in my mind that being a young between 20s she is behaving like a rich maniac. These words crossed me at that moment If you want such a comfortable life she would have gone to some cab. It didn't stop again all her actions recklessly holding bags which made that old woman know how she is feeling and then she took both bags into her holding them. We passed some stops and she left at a stop in between called Srinivasanagar I asked that woman to sit and she said "No Putta you only sit I will get down at the next stop" So at least you can sit till you reach home in kannada. Listening to this I know how good her heart is because there are some scenes I have seen where many women are looking for the seats to get empty and put their bag when it is getting empty even if they are in somewhere far from the seat. But this literally has been in my mind for two days and this is not the same all the time because there were times when few people helped others at least by holding their bags giving them relief Most time we used to hold four to five bags so that there can be a little space for others to stand.
There's one thing that I want to say to that girl.
If you ever get old if you were treated like that, what would you do?
and remember that elderly woman didn't ask for your seat she just told you to hold bags so that you behave in that way such idiotic behaviour.
I just wanted to tell people that yes many of us will be tired and looks for a seat in the evening on the bus to sit and get a bit of rest even if you don't want to give your seat just help them by holding their little pieces of baggage and treat them nicely.
