My Success Story

My Success Story

I was 15 years old when my family was suffering from an economic crisis. My father had lost his job because his company went bankrupt. To run the family, my mother had to work at other’s homes meanwhile my father was trying to find another job. I was about to complete my school and enter college. This was a more concerning matter for my parents because college would have a higher fee compared to school. If my father doesn’t find a job before I complete school, I might have to drop one year sitting at home or I would have to find a job to help the family.

That was when I decided that doing a job under someone won't help in the long term. I might get fired anytime. So, I must inculcate business ideas that will help me and my family. I decided that I will not attend college and after completing school, I looked for a job to gain some savings with which I can start my own business. I was very much interested in becoming an event manager. So, for a few months, I worked for an event managing agency to learn the basic ideas that I will need before I start my own agency. This will also me earn money and I will be able to help my family.

I worked there for around eight months during which I came to know everything about event management. Also, by that time I had saved enough to start my own business. So I did what I had decided. I bought a small place to shop and set it up well. I also got business cards printed and within a few days of the inaugural, I got my first contract for wedding management. I managed the event so well that my client paid me some extra money as a tip for completing their wedding ceremony without any flaws. This was my start and my parents were very happy that I brought home a big amount.

After that, I started to get more orders and contracts gradually and I had to hire people to manage my work. Within a few years, my company became the city’s best event managing agency. My parents were elated with my success. What we were at one time and now what we are is nothing comparable.
