Lakshmi - Renga

My mother Lakshmi is a talented woman. She has completed her 10th std. She knows tailoring, embroidery and good at cooking. 

As a single parent, she brought me up. My father was a chain smoker. She struggled hard to reform him. But it ended in vain. I lost my father when I was studying in 12th std. The crucial time was my student's life. I suffered a lot to come out of my father's absence.

I was working as a shop assistant in town. I took my mom with me. I knew that my mother had the interest to do business.  

 She was good at cooking. I got a loan from the bank and started a tiffin centre in the outskirts of the town. In the beginning, we found a little difficult to run our tiffin centre. As days passed, people started crowding in front of our tiffin centre. We developed our centre with a few women employees. 

We would like to give a job for village women. So, we appointed women from our village. Our business started growing and we began a hotel. My mom became the cashier of the hotel. To support my mom, I left my job and became a supervisor. It was completely run by women. Our aim was to uplift the livelihood of women in villages.

 Gradually, our business started flourishing, we took orders for the wedding celebration. We delivered food at the doorstep too. I created an app to order food in our hotel. We opened our branches all over the world. 

My mother got the 'Best Entrepreneur Award' for that year. It was a great credit to her. In the function, they asked about the secret of her success. 

My mom said, "My daughter Renga is the secret of my success. She found the talent within me. She didn't allow me to be at home, chatting unnecessary things with others, thinking over the past things. She motivated me to start up the business."

My daughter is my motivation.

"Bring up your daughters as sons. They will do a miracle in your lives.

They can also govern a nation.”
