FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

School life is full of experience. As students gather on the first morning of a new school term, they meet their friends after a considerable period. It feels so thirst-quenching and exhilarating. The school sounds like a fish market when all the friends meet after a long run.

As I took the first step into the school building, coated with black paint, and gazed at everything around me, students and teachers with smiling faces, the boys were dressed in white shirts, blue pants, ties with black shoes, and the girls were wearing white Shalwar Kameez with black shoes. The newcomers were standing in the canteen area, under a blue shade, carrying their heavy backpacks. All the friends were talking nineteen to the dozen. Then I stepped onto the lush, mellow grass in the garden. Subsequently, the wind smelt like a messenger carrying the scent of a rose. The tall trees and lovely, blossomed flowers dance in the melody of the wind. The birds sang melodious songs. Upon seeing the blue sky, the raindrop fell on me! The sun shone brightly, it drizzled and chilly winds howled.

Thereupon, the principal officially welcomed the school staff, and the teacher aligned everyone in separate, straight lines according to their grades. When I saw my classroom, it was surprising to see my desk placed in the same way as I left it before the vacation. The walls wore a white coat of paint. The whiteboard was 4 feet tall and 8 feet wide. There were 20 desks in the classroom. I saw a caterpillar becoming a butterfly next to the black window in the right corner. Through the window, I saw the deep blue sky and the vast land spread hundreds of miles to the north.

As it was the very first day of school, it was really exciting, we all enjoyed it a lot! Seeing the classroom and chatting with friends was so appealing! It was the most memorable day of my life!
