QUALITIES OF AN EFFECTIVE LEADER

A leader is one who guides others. If any business, government or an organization desires to prosper, then an effective leader is extremely important, who leads them to the right path. An effective leader is determined and never lacks courage, even if he thinks there is a perfect storm awaiting, he is never going to lose his heart instead he would believe that every cloud has a silver lining. He is optimistic and doesn’t cry over the spilt milk neither he counts the chicks before the eggs have hatched, but he works will all his sweat and blood to achieve his goal and if he had a mistake, he learns from it. He doesn’t look behind and lachrymose like a deer, which could run with lightning speed, but it looks behind continuously that the lion is following him or not and as he looks aback his speed reduces and eventually the lion hunts it. For instance, if the leader ponders over his past and regrets instead of learning from his mistakes; he loses his capability and strength.

An exemplary leader consults other people as well; he doesn’t only look on his suggestion. He meditates over other people’s point of view and respects everyone rather than looking down upon them. He is a great motivator for others and an inspiration also. He not only solves other people issues at one place but also has the flexibility to solve problems in an everchanging work place. Consequently, he handles all the responsibilities skillfully and has a positive influence on his group. He will never go on a wild goose chase, on the other hand he hits the nail on the head. He looks before he decides meaning looks before he leaps. He strives that no one could rain on his parade and takes considerable steps towards it. He doesn’t judge by his cover and never believes, “First impression is the last impression.” He empowers team development and unites his team, group or community.

Whenever a problem arises, he looks deep into the matter and then plans; a little learning is a dangerous thing: then promptly reaches a right decision as a stitch in time saves nine. He never creates a fuss in a tea cup. However, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. He knows which way the wind is blowing, he accepts that it is always darkest before the dawn. An effective leader makes hay while the sun shines, and once bitten, he is twice shy. If there are clouds on the horizon, he would never lose hope through thick and thin.

Being a successful and an exemplary leader is not a cat walk, instead it is a combination of hard work, determination, hope and confidence. He should never think that he is perfect rather he should always strive to be better than he was. For development of the community, an efficacious leader is extremely crucial.
