Dr. Nitya XI

This story is in continuation with my earlier story Dr. Nitya - X DTD.31/12/2023.

Dr. Chaitanya is back now in Delhi. he calls his parents from airport and inform them about his reaching in Delhi. He was quite relaxed and happy because the cause for which he had gone home is done I.e. to fix his sister Athvika’s marriage. over and above that he too gets approval from his parents for going ahead in relation with Dr. Nitya.

Nitya text Chaitanya and ask if he has reached Delhi and to home so he replies to her saying yes and assure that he will call her in the night as he would be busy unpacking his luggage. Next morning he had to join his duties, so he checks for his uniform and other necessary things. Chaitanya talk with Nitya for few minutes in the night before going to sleep. They both decide that they would not reveal at workplace, about development in their relationship as it was not the right time to disclose it.

Next day morning Dr Nitya was very excited to meet Dr Chaitanya and she had glow on her face as though she was trying to be normal and hide her excitement but to some extent she failed to do so. Dr. Chaitanya reached hospital early today and there was an addition to one lady doctor in their attendance sheet Dr. Chitra Chaganti. from the surname Chaitanya could make out that she must be Telugu.

When Dr. Chaitanya enter in his cabin and check some papers on his table there, he finds one letter addressed to him that newly joined doctor Chitra will report to him I.e. she will be his junior, it was like a surprise for him, and he sees one girl in uniform was coming towards his cabin and it was obvious that she was Dr. Chitra.

She asks for his permission to enter in his cabin, and he welcomes her with a smile and by asking her if she is dr. Chitra and she says yes. he asks her to sit, and they were about to start conversation and Dr. Nitya knock on his cabin door. Dr. Nitya gets nervous seeing one lady Dr. Sitting there but then Chaitanya introduce her to Dr Chitra. This situation is going to be interesting now. Nitya was trying to be normal. The day was quite busy as Dr Chaitanya had to finish all his pending work but yes while going home, he tells Dr. Nitya that he is coming to her home after an hour or so.

Nitya was talking to her mother when Chaitanya comes. She finishes talking and then ask Chaitanya about his trip to his hometown. Chaitanya handover some sweets that his mother had sent for her to be daughter in law, Nitya feels happy.

They talk about Dr. Chitra so Chaitanya says that yes, she seems to be a nice and sensible girl and she is Telugu so Nitya asks him, what if she is unmarried? and who knows if you find her better than me, so Chaitanya just smile with expression that yes may be, anything can happen, who knows. Nitya starts feeling insecure. Whereas Chaitanya had read Dr. Chitra’s Biodata, and he knew that she is married and having a one-year-old son.

Now after a week or so Chaitanya get a call from his parents about their visit to Delhi so in the evening, he reminds Nitya about asking her parents for feasible dates when they can make a trip to Delhi. It’s decided that after fifteen days they all will be in Delhi. Nitya was quite excited but was nervous too because when she sees Dr Chaitanya and Dr. Chitra together discussing about their work or about any patient etc. She feels insecure and jealous. Dr Chitra too notice this, but she was silent on her marital status.

As decided Nitya’s parents and Chaitanya’s parents and his sister Athvika arrive in Delhi. They all meet at Nitya’s home; Nitya and her parents give them warm welcome. Nitya’s mother tells Nitya to take blessings from Chaitanya’s parents. Chaitanya’s father was not much in Favour about this alliance but after meeting and talking to family he gets convinced. He gets impressed with Dr. Nitya’s smartness and her behavior.

Nitya’s parents were in Delhi, Srinivasan Nitya’s elder brother give them a surprise saying that he too is coming to Delhi for a week or so and not alone but with someone. Now who is that someone is a secret everybody gets some hint but still they decide to wait till he arrives there.

That day afternoon Nitya had some work with Dr. Chaitanya, so she overhears the conversation between Dr Chaitanya and Dr. Chitra where Dr Chitra was asking for a permission from her boss I.e. from Dr. Chaitanya to leave early in the evening as her son was not well that day. Dr. Nitya feels relieved to know that that Dr. Chitra is no single as she assumed.

Now these families were waiting for secret to be revealed by Srinivasan, he was going to come by next day early morning from US, that too with “someone”.

Next day morning Nitya was gets up to open the door as soon as she hears the doorbell noise. Srini was there with one beautiful girl of his age, she was Indian. Nitya welcomes them, and her parents too come to living room. they all sit in the living room and were eager to know from Srinivasan that is she just a colleague or friend or what exactly. 

So, after some time Srinivasan tell all of them that she is Shivangi, and she is more than a friend and she is his colleague too from the same office. She is Maharashtrian and she too wanted to come to India to meet her parents as they wanted to fix her marriage. Shivangi wanted to take flight to Mumbai but then I told her to come to Delhi first so by evening flight she will go to Mumbai. Now all of then gets some idea about the suspense that Srini had created.

Athvika’s marriage was already fixed that was, after six months and hopefully all goes well and next time and next year when Srini comes to India and Shivangi too that time there will be two weddings in that family. Srinivasan-Shivangi and another is Dr. Nitya-Dr. Chaitanya. Will that really happen? Keep the fingers crossed and hope for the best for their future life.
