Life has entered a blind alley 

Where time stands still

Nothing moves

Days and nights

Seasons and months

Pass by and yet

Nothing changes

Like an unaffected standing statue

Belied Expectations

Emotions have dried up

No trace of life anywhere

It is desert sands

All around

Movements are seldom

Existence in doldrums

Nothing looks bright

Nothing sounds right

Frustrating moments pile up 

Amidst an unending night
