And a nagging question that frequents
Why this happens to me

Lonely, dejected and unnoticed
Shadow only left to give me company
In a road that leads to nowhere
The question comes back
Why this happens to me

Betrayed by all those who I trusted
No confidence by those who once proudly stood by me
Self-confidence nose diving each passing day
Same question again- why me?
Love’s labor's Lost
Esteem compromised
All efforts going in vain
Long days, longer nights
Pains drag on till infinity
Looks lasting for an eternity
But, why of all billions in the universe
Why me?
