Friends For Life

When I came to this world she was already my neighbor

We grew up, played and cycled to school together

You were my first friend and little did I know

This friendship was going to last forever

Two became four and apparently four became eight

Those long hang-outs under the road-side trees

Brought us close but little did I know

This friendship was going to last forever

We competed and admired each other

Cheering and supporting we stood by each other

Playing pranks and having fun days flew but little did I know 

This friendship was going to last forever

We took different paths, many came and a few left

Getting busy shaping our lives we hardly met

Still touched each other's lives from miles apart

And I know now this friendship is meant to last forever.
