The Mighty Expanse

The best of travels are the unplanned ones

The ones I set off on my own

Walk aimlessly trusting my legs

As it takes me to destinations unknown.

I am awed by the people I meet

And amazed at the things I see

Taking my own time to enjoy the treat,

I dissolve in all its strangeness, carefree.

I get a good night's sleep under the wide-open sky

Counting the countless stars and constellations

refreshes my soul and to all the worries I bid goodbye

And when the dawn breaks I plunge into the clear waters.

The one sun that shines upon all of us

Paints unique pictures from different places

The air that surrounds the vast oceans

Smells different at different beaches.

The long endless roads stretch out empty

The world so wide and beautiful

It is so unfair he created wonders plenty

And gave me just one chance to enjoy them all.
