My First Christmas
My First Christmas
Christmas is almost here
In the yard, I spot a leaping deer
When I go near, it runs away in fear
Do you think I look like a bear?
Today my hoomans put up a Christmas tree
They unpacked it and let its branches free
The outside temperature is minus three degree
And little cotton-like floofs falling from the sky are all I can see.
I help by chewing decorations off the tree
I feel like I’m assisting, but my mom disagrees
The tree, with ornaments, looks fully packed
It appears as though by lights it’s been attacked.
OMG, it's Christmas eve
I’m going to the park to play with the poodle, Steve
In the park, I find some sketchy leaves
Before going home, a small bough I retrieve.
By the end of my dinner, I’m half asleep
A glass of milk and some cookies for Santa, my hoomans keep
At midnight, I wake up and take a quick peep
To see if Santa has climbed down the chimney, so steep.
Its Christmas morning and the sun is not so bright
White cotton floofs are the only things in sight
I can no longer see the lush green grass
It’s covered by a soft white mass
The dazzling lake visible from my house is now nothing but glass.
Its time to open the presents
My hooman gives me one which is shaped like a crescent
I opened my gift untidily
It’s a stuffed toy and a bowtie, I wag my tail violently.
Wishing you peace, love and licks!
