Journey of a hatchling
Journey of a hatchling
She wanted to spread her wings and soar
But too many responsibilities she bore
The little birdie was confused
If taking a flight would get her bruised
She was too scared With other birds she compared.
Should she fly away to explore
Or stay home and snore
None of them were right or wrong
Little birdie didn't want to just move along.
Wanting to conquer the world
She unfurled her wings and left
Without thinking of the effects
Came back hurt and with regrets.
She wondered where she went wrong
Why couldn't she be strong
What little detail did she miss
That led to this.
Everyone close to her was upset
Her dreams, she wanted to forget
To keep everyone pleased
She had to remain in a cage seized.
Practice patience and time was all she needed
Finally, this theory she conceded
Everyone's expectation she exceeded
And that's how she succeeded.
She grew up to be a beautiful bird
Her past now blurred
She was ready to conquer the sky
Everything, she could try
She opened her magnificent wings
Ascending while the flowers beneath her sing.
“No bird soars too high if it soars with its own wings.”- William Blake
