Just A Game
Just A Game
Alissa stands at the bus stop
Her scarf is messy and the rustling sounds can be heard
Her life ain't full of mishaps
She lives a block away from Autumn Leaf and her place of work
But this day isn't the best day
Crimson flashes so brightly lit up the sky
It could blind her, but it didn't, and so
Then everything disappeared as nothing happened
She fainted and that was all she remembered
When she woke up, she looked at the wristwatch, the last gift from her mom
And the time didn't change
She looked up at the sky, starry and bright, but nothing uncommon
Looking around, nothing profound, just on the bench, hair a little disheveled
She decided to walk home, but two feet couldn't make four sounds she knew.
Ran straight, eyes on the road, before taking a turn an
d straight into her house
The fireplace is still the same, the frames a tad bit tilted
But it's best to drown in dreams and so did she, but the taps on the windows kept her up
Her doorknob turned on its own, nothing was in control, her wristwatch fell on its own
Blue was the color of that hand, that punched a hole through the window and then fell the night lamp
She could feel herself freeze and she wanted to run, but her body was not in her hand
Her face turned blue, a hue that is embedded in our skin, and in their minds
She fainted again, and again it's that rustling sound
Ready for the ship to take off
While I am in the room, far away from Neptune, somewhere they can't know for the upcoming years
My pals are snickering, the ship is coming back
Because it's just a game for us, a ridiculous one
