A Twisted Romance, A New Love

The first day I held my hand 

I knew I was the one 

No one could ever love me more than me 

Unlike the others I let myself be 

I knew I was perfect for myself 

And you are too for you and yourself 

I was always there to comfort myself when I was down 

When people told me I'm fat, dull, and brown

I told myself, "that is what makes you beautiful"

I always knew what I wanted, and always congratulated myself when I succeeded in something 

I was supportive of me more than anyone or anything 

My crystal tears were wiped away by my hands 

I held myself tightly and said, "It will be okay"

I will always be thankful to myself for supporting me so much 

My hair was a mess, and everything was cluttered up 

I helped myself to cope up 

I never broke the promise I made to myself and always showed up

In front of the mirror, I looked at me and smiled

I did not know how to thank myself, and it's best not to, cause no words can express my gratitude.

I'm glad I have someone like me 

I'm glad you let me be free 

I'm glad that I was blessed with you 

I'm glad I have you to myself forever 

I'm not gonna lose you, no, never!
