Unwanted Solitude in this Pandemic!!!

Living through a pandemic is something 

Many of us have never imagined. 

The flow of life feels forever changed, 

And the crisis seems unending.

 

The silence of the city is not soothing anymore 

The doors and markets are closed every hour 

The local sellers are worried as they 

Have no intrinsic value to exchange what all they have

lost 

 

The places of worship are closed and 

A silence answer to all the prayers 

We are confined from rise to shine 

We are imprisioned in homes all the time 

 

We all wear masks so that all others 

And Nature can breathe easily 

No matter if you are a company director or a homemaker 

Working for home or from home, you will be a caretaker 

 

The world has fallen to its knees in agony and pain

Still no idea, how we will get through 

And what lies ahead how much loss or if any gain?

Instead of evening Serenity views 

The heat of cremations changes the hues 

 

The catastrophic situations witness clearly 

Our System's failures and flaws evidently 

We were too busy in victory celebration

Million of people gathered in Kumbh ovation

With unmasked crowd on the name of holy invitation 

 

Fortunes have now turned drastically 

And we all are bearing the sufferings enormously

We can only hope and pray

This unprecedented time to soon vanish away!

Hoping to see the day when we come out of our cocoons!!!
