Indian festivals are celebrated in a way of keeping centuries-old traditions and beliefs alive among the masses. People in India are mostly God-fearing. Indian festivals are a reflection of the culture of the country. People in our country love celebrating the festivals with their near and dear ones, as India encompasses people from different religions and cultures and thus celebrates numerous religious festivals. So when talking about Indian festivals, there is unity in diversity.

Diwali, Holi, Navratri, Christmas, Rakshbhandhan Onam, Pongal, and the list is endless. These festivals are celebrated throughout the country with equal enthusiasm. Today these Indian festivals are globally celebrated with love and peace. In short all the different cultures, different states celebrate together harmoniously all the festivals being they belong to that culture or not. Indians give special importance to their festivals and celebrate them with joy and happiness. All the Festivals in India are awaited all year long and are celebrated with great pomp and show. Today festivals are the way to bring the family values closer, festivals have become a symbol of unity and progress. These are a great way to bond with them near and dear ones. Festivals such as Baisakhi, Guru Purnima, Pongal, Maha Shivratri, Rama Navami, Basant Panchami, and Akshaya Tritiya are considered highly auspicious and are especially awaited, to begin with, something new such as buying a new shop, starting a business, signing a big business deal. 

Diwali the festival of lights, candles, and diyas. People make rangolis, worship Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha and burn fire crackers to celebrate this festival with enthusiasm. Holi is the festival of color. The purpose of this day is to have fun and let loose. Raksha Bandhan the festival which is celebrated to strengthen the brother-sister bond. Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with immense zeal in mostly all parts of India to be close to friends, neighbors relatives to enjoy leaving all worries. Indian festival time is a great opportunity to make friends, relatives, their relationship to understand the cultural roots of our country and help each of them to connect with it.
