The derelict, country town of Skegness holds a secret.

Georgina Greenway has the perfect life working as an actor in the city and singing with her considerate girlfriend, Laura Jones.

However, when she finds a weathered book in her cellar, she begins to realize that things are not quite as they seem in the Greenway family.

A Christening leaves Georgina with some startling questions about her past, and she sets off to backward Skegness to find some answers.

At first, the people of Skegness are brave and helpful. She is intrigued by the curiously helpful scout, Harold Sparkle. However, after he introduces her to hard television, Georgina slowly finds herself drawn into a web of sloth, decadence, and perhaps, even abduction.

Can Georgina resist the charms of Harold Sparkle and uncover the secret of the weathered book before it's too late, or will her demise become yet another Skegness legend?
