I fly, deep inside the warm blue, under the Milieuz, my home town; some say it was beautiful as heaven light and used to be “Adam’s ale”, now it’s corrupted but I believe it is as beautiful as it used to be. Though I’ve not visited any other town or country I could not think of any other better place, which is cleaner and more civilized than my Milieuz. I rolled around the flower, and a flavour of dirt-like octopus sting troubled my fins, bunch of green algae stacked my wing; I disgusted with the smell, swam towards my house. The door was decorated with dead jellyfish though they creep me, they are the cheapest in the market for decorative purposes; I sometimes could smell them but could not differentiate between jellyfish remains and disgusting algae that stack my wing. I will need to re-surface under the hot water and clean it using the base soil of Milieuz. The soil of the Milieuz is famous for curing infections. I’ve always been proud of Milieuz. But around the few centuries, word has spread that the ‘Myth of land’ is true. Some say besides Adam’s Ale, there is also ‘The land of man’.

As I knocked on the door, mommy cringed with my guest's odour,

“Mora, not again; How many times on the ocean do I have to tell to stay away from algae. One day you will be in trouble, carrying around these things behind your back.”

“Mommy, I’m sorry. But when I flow, they always get hold of me.” I replied with a pitied face. It’s thrice in a week that I have arrived home with an infection she has the right to scold me. My mommy is the oldest elder in the city and specialized in every form of infection; studying every bit of the elements available. She teaches me daily about her inventions and information with a story, along with lunch and dinner. I could no less enjoy them as my mommy prides on each lesson. She should be thrice the age of any fish living in the Milieuz, though she never tells her real age.

“Stop complaining, go wash. Lunch is ready and today’s lesson too. Go on.” My face lightened with adoration for my mommy. She is my beam of sun. I hurriedly went to the backyard where a small cave was created by my mother when she was young. It was a mixture of some elements due to which water remains mildly hot inside the cave. I took wrongful of soil from below and entered the cave. The hot water absorbed the soil and disinfected my wings and gave a new rainbow shine to them, beautiful like pearls. I rejoiced and rolled around the cave; the mild hot gave a refreshing feeling that I could almost forget that I was tired. I went back home, where the hall was decorated using varied shells and pearls, a separate lobby indicated the dining area where a plate of pink shells filled with a few slices of meat was platted on the ground. Few laces placed on each side of the dish marked our seating arrangement, lunch is not just about eating but a group teaching for each day reminding us that the food we take, a day increases in our life and so, a lesson learned makes more insightful about our life and purpose. We have less memory so we keep a boxed shell, and with each lesson, we exhibit that memory inside a distinct pearl and place it inside the box locked, which allows us to remember each of our memory.

Mommy arrived at the door, along with two other fishes, Simo and Minue. They came near me and sat around their lace seat, Minue whispered,

“I heard you again got infectious algae around your wing, is that true?” I rolled my eyes, does mommy have to be the chatterbox. now everyone will come to visit and advise me about my safety,

“Yes, I did, and I am alright. Look, I got pearled radiant around my wings.” They checked around my new rainbowed wings and I rolled around and danced for them to have a better look, they were astonished by the shine,

“Wow, that looks awesome. I could put those algae around the whole day to develop these magical wings” I cringed at the idea, how foolish to think those disgusting algae could develop these beautiful wings,

“Spat a handful of algae on your back and my mom will eat you, alive” Terrified with the result of their idea, they backed on and sat quietly, when mommy arrived and sat in front of my seat,

“Take your boxed shell and a pearl, put that in front of you”, as ordered we followed and took out a unique pearl,

“Now let’s learn today’s lesson, and we will proceed towards food”, we waited for mommy to continue, she arranged herself and continued,

“Sure, we’ve heard many theories about ‘The land of men’, The days when I was young and fresh like sweet water, I was being taught about various myths, myths about the sky where there’s no water and no land, Sky holds the sun, the moon and some creature that could fly without water but they rest on the land which signifies more proof about the existence of the land. Milieuz, was once called a heaven’s light, and today’s I could watch the dulling of the light, infectious algae increase vastly in number, the water is not as pure and fresh as it once used to be, it keeps decaying each day. ”
