Lauren and Maud - The Troll Hu

Lauren Lakeman is just an ordinary seventeen-year-old girl living in Sharpfoot, until she sees a horrifying troll, called Flappy Suzanne Hemingfoot, climb in through her bedroom window.

Flappy Suzanne, who is built like a potato filled with rocks and smells like grated skunk trainers smothered with a sauce made from bones, sings a song about making little girls into lasagnes.

Lauren tricks the troll into falling out of her window by telling her that there is child-brain spaghetti bolognese outside. She realizes that the troll has to be stopped before she eats any more children and sets to work trying to invent a trap.

Meanwhile, in a cave just outside Sharpfoot, Maud Pigeonscarer starts to suspect that eating children is wrong, and grows tired of hunting with her fellow trolls. She decides to live as a vegetarian.

After a brief misunderstanding involving an upper lip and lashings of ketchup, Lauren and Maud team up to stop the trolls, using a catapult that fires turnips. They lure the trolls by creating a big mound of rotten turnips.
