The Shout!

It was a stormy night, my parents had gone out. I was alone at home. There was a sudden power cut and I heard someone shout. I was trembling with fear. I tried to comfort myself by closing my eyes and trying to sleep. What else could I do? Then, I heard that shout again. An idea struck my mind. I thought that it was better to sit in the living room.

I gathered some courage and walked towards the hall. In my trying to do so, I banged straight into a wall. To protect myself from further attacks from the walls, I switched my phone's flashlight. Oh ! How foolish I was at that time!

While walking towards the living room, I felt as if someone was standing behind me. I turned around and thankfully didn't find anyone. Then, I ran towards the sofa. I was trembling with fear.

Afraid and shivering, I ran towards the door and shot it open. Then, what I saw, will always be remembered by me throughout my life.

After I peeped outside, I gave a short cry. Outside stood my younger brother, giggling. Even I kept laughing for hours until my parents returned. My brother had remained back and not gone out along with my parents.
